I know a lot of kpop fans who stan a lot of gg but very loyal to only one bg. Why?

Since I only stan one BG, and love many GGs I want to answer too.
For me, GGs have more fun and interesting songs. Their concepts, styles etc are satisfying to look and discuss. GGs communities usually are more accommodating to multis and not so fandom oriented like BGs, so it feels more welcoming. Even the general public usually go for GG songs so I think it’s just one of those things.
It’s not easy to get into BGs, stanning one is more than enough for me. Most BGs look, sound and perform similar to me, so they don’t hold my interest long.

I’ve only ever “stanned” solo artists before. I’ve never been into western BG and I’ve only liked mostly western GG. BTS was my intro to kpop and they still remain the only kpop group I stan. I’ve actually bought merch, fan club memberships, and albums of other kpop groups but they just couldn’t hold my interest. I think GG are easier to support because of the desire to promote female success but unfortunately I find GG concepts and music to be mostly undermining female empowerment. BG music I find to be mostly annoying and juvenile except for BTS. IMO, GG are more appealing superficially while BG are mostly cringe but have a better chance of being taken seriously as artists. I would love to see a kpop GG that is allowed the same creative and artistic freedom of a BG where all the members contribute and are able to write sincere music.

I financially support all the BG, GG, and artists that makes music I enjoy (buy music, albums, concerts).

BTS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>KPOP
Kpop ggs don't interest me same as bgs. Don't get me wrong, I listen to some kpop songs if it randomly plays on my Spotify after a BTS song (atleast I let it play if it's good), but so far none has keep my interests beyond it. In my defense, I'm not that much invested into artists before even knowing BTS therefore Kpop, so it checks out (except maybe Mariah Carey).
Onto the topic, it's been like that since the dawn of time so it's not technically exclusive to KPOP. I would say, it's even worse for the western ggs cause they don't have the same dedicated fans like kpop ggs have attained. Or maybe because KPOP naturally breeds a more hardcore fans than usual so it's an outlier topic.
Anyways, isn't this falls into the topic of ''Why BG's have more dedicated & loyal fans than GGs?"
To add onto my comment, most of kpop fans are women. Female fans are more likely to spend money and go all the way for their idol. Most of them are straight and therefore en masse kpop fandoms are more invested in boy groups. Plus, boybands have this phenomenon that once you were interested on a certain/specific group and feel some type of way then you're more likely not look for other boybands. It might be a weird comparison, but just like in relationship- women have always been naturally more loyal than men and will stay in their comfort zone as long as they are still satisfied. Same goes for being 'only a stan of one boygroup thing' and not looking for other bgs to explore. I think this is the reason why female fans in general are way more open to listening in different girl groups than boy groups.
Sorry if it sounds a bit more misogynistic and generalized like the ones you've read in the media, but if it's the truth why not say it? Besides, it's only one of the reasons why female fans like a boygroup. Personally, I'm not even into KPOP as a whole. I just really like BTS, how they present themselves, their grit in performing and how their discography speaks to me a lot. In my case, their visuals are not even the first thing I noticed or why I was interested on them at first time- it's their performance, so I guess I'm not part of the phenomenon? Lol. I'm sure many fans feel the same.
And statistically speaking, GGs are also upping their game and their fans are even spending more money than before like in buying albums, concerts and consuming their content. So the disparity between BGs and GGs in general are not even that huge anymore unlike pre-pandemic. More female fans have also become more loyal to GGs. The reasons why they became loyal in general might be different to how bgs vs ggs fandom works but it still quite similar which is due to VISUAL. Like bg fans, a lot of girl group fans are also into visuals which is why the 'IT GIRL' 'BRAND AMBASSADOR' 'CF QUEEN' etcc are rampant in this crowd. IMO, boygroup fans are attracted to boygroups because of their visuals then girl group fans are inspired by styling, visuals and feeling some sort of empowerment (calling it women domination) or like to insert themselves into female idols sometimes. At the end of the day, groups in general especially in Kpop stems from parasocial relationship one way or another.
I rest my case here. I apologize for the long read.

just like who you like and leave it at that...
why does it matter if a person likes one group or 10 groups
the only thing that matters is what they do once they like the group(s)
are they trolls and haters who go and bash all of their non-favs?
are they nice and respectful regardless of who's fav is who?
