Anyway EXO’s impeccable music made them successful

  • I think being part of SM contributed for the most part to their success, like most groups from big companies.

A group from a nugu company with the same music as exo would most likely flop regardless of the quality of their release.

  • so true !

People from nugu companies or any other company are not as talented as exo. EXO is special even among big companies. You can give other groups EXO songs and they’ll flop because they’re not exo.

  • Music quality depends not just on the composition but also the talent of the members. So this weird statement that EXO’s music would flop with nugus so they aren’t popular because of their music is a fallacy.

It’s too hypothetical because first there needs to be talent like exo before we even start considering music at EXO’s level. So y’all don’t try me with the BS 🧍‍♀️

No, they will flop because they dont have the exposure and the ressources a big company like SM is able to provide.

There is nothing wrong with acknowledging a group benefits from big company privileges. It doesn't take away their talent or the quality of their music. But talent and music alone rarely garantee success if they aren't backed up by the necessary means to promote and market them.

There are no nugus as talented as EXO [2]

Also I never said being in SM didn’t give EXO exposure. Idk why you assumed that.

  • And that exposure is what enabled them to reach success. This is the point I am trying to make.

No it does not. Exposure doesn’t give success. Y’all sound so dumb it’s hilarious. Instead of 10 ppl watching your video 100 people watch your video but how many ppl from those 10 or from those 100 like your music depends on the quality of the music. So if 90 people liked EXO’s music it’s not because of the exposure it’s because they had good music. (There can be other reasons too those 90 ppl liked a group but in EXO’s case it’s music)

Nugu’s don’t have exposure so they stay nugu. Instead of saying success is because of exposure which sounds stupid the better thing to say is The cause of UNPOPULARITY is lack of exposure or some other factors like that. These two things cannot be interchangeably used.

And if it were the case, people wouldn't stop talking how these nugus don't get a chance despite being so talented. People just love to downplay EXO non-stop and sometimes music is just good, period.

You can call it stupid all you want, this is a fact. Exposure and marketing are the principal factors for success in kpop. Big company groups even get fandoms from the get go without any release so clearly music isn't the main factor of attraction.
