actually you don’t have to go back that far - omg might pull a hype boy lol in the sense that hype boy didn’t reach a higher peak than attention (in korea at least) but its longevity is much stronger than attention as time went on. Maybe omg might be the same?

Internationally it is already fastest fourth gen hit on Spotify and am. Fastest fourth gen song to hit 100 million there. Omg gonna be second fastest and both by huge margin. Already set new records in hot 100 and global 200.

Omg is also doing amazing.

In Korea by end of year debate will be clear. As hypeboy attention are massive too along with love dive, tom boy and next level. S tier hits. People love to downplay newjeans here in Korea when they have already most hits in Korea for any fourth gen act. Hypeboy attention impact is no less than next level in Korea. Every celebrity was covering it and singing it. Kim go eun even danced in her anniversary lol. People are so bitter . It's funny.

If we combine korea and overseas ditto will be the biggest fourth gen hit.

like others have said, time will tell, but fact is they have two contenders going at it right now - Hype Boy and Ditto

and a Hot 100 charting with minimal US promo is hard to argue against

I don't know If you've seen, but OMG choreo is more remarkable, imo.
