Reporter Lee Jin Ho highlights the struggles and pain endured by the 11 members of LOONA as a result of the conflict between Blockberry Creative and Chuu

Former entertainment reporter turned YouTuber Lee Jin Ho recently brought up the struggles that the other 11 LOONA members had to face due to the feud between Blockberry Creative and Chuu.

Lee Jin Ho brought to attention the disadvantages the other 11 members had to face because of this feud between Chuu and the agency. The reporter revealed a voice recording of a phone call between Chuu's mother and one Blockberry Creative representative. The phone conversation was about the music video filming for "Flip That," and Chuu's mother wanted to take Chuu home because of the delay in filming.

Due to the delay, Chuu's mother demanded that she takes Chuu home even though there was a group choreography scene left to film. Because of this, one member called the representative of the agency to let them know about this difficult situation. She told the representative, "Jiwoo (Chuu) said she's leaving...Even the jacket photoshoot, the other members only took one or two photos, and we have to film the group choreography. Now suddenly, Jiwoo said she was leaving, so it was supposed to be 12 members, but now it's going to be 11... We were told this so suddenly, and we have to follow along...it doesn't make sense so I am giving you a call."

Lee Jin Ho explains there was an issue during the filming, so the label representative gave a call to Chuu's mother asking that the group be given one more hour to film. That is when the group was able to finish filming the 16th scene with the group choreography. However, LOONA was unable to film the last group scenes for the music video because Chuu's mother had taken Chuu home.

Lee Jin Ho pointed out that the remaining 11 members were put in difficult situations whenever situations like this would frequently occur. He also pointed out that Chuu's mother would intervene even when the group was filming 'Queendom.' Chuu's mother would send a private message to the agency representative and call out each member and criticize their actions toward Chuu. Chuu's mother wrote, "Please make sure Jiwoo doesn't get stressed because of members B or C."

The smear campaign against Chuu going strong

I think it's more about Chuu's mom here not about Chuu herself.

I get that as an adult you should protect your child but in same time you should be sure to not hurt other kids.

I'm curious is that pointing members B, C true. Because if it was between Chuu's mom and BBC hidden convo... then I'm pretty sure if girls will read about it now, they will quickly know who it is about and in the process they will be hurt by it.

  • I don't under any circumstances want it to come off like I'm defending BBC but yeah, Loona definitely got fucked over by both sides.

Having a member that can single-handedly not only decide her schedules but force the schedules of 11 others to change is a disaster in the making and it showed.

Even if Chuu made her schedule perfectly considering Loona and BBC made Loona's considering Chuu (which neither fully did), any unexpected factor like a 3rd party delay will create a mess. And it DID.

Again, the fault is 98% on BBC for letting the situation get this far and for how they've handled everything since then but even under the best management, had Chuus contract not been set to end dec 2022 and gone on the full length like the rest of Loona, she would have inevitably been kicked out either way.

    Still BBCs fault

  • interesting

but from previous articles - didn't Chuu want to go home because of her prior commitments the next day and BBC was in breach of the contract and the 50K won penalty thingy?

  • I don't follow loona. From the little bits I've read, it sounds like the contract they were under should be illegal. Those poor girls. At least chuu is out. What are the rest of the members gonna do?

Nine of them have filed injunctions asking to be released from their contracts; one of the other two had a job that was handled by BBC at the time, and the other isn't Korean and her visa depends on her employment.

  • The actions of the other members will tell us if they hold any resentment towards Chuu. Everything else is irrelevant, i dont care how butthurt BBC management got, they deserved whatever sass and "harsh tone" got sent their way from Chuu. She was obviously tired of being treated like a slave and was literally just fighting for her rights.

Yous said "sass"... I believe your wording is vastly to kind to relate what BBC really deserved. I tried to rephrase what you meant but found it impossible to make a coherent sentence with that many insults and swear words.

  • so lemme get this straight

so chuu had committed to go home but BBC scheduled her regardless and so then becomes a fight on whether chuu should leave or stay

adding on to that the extra scheduling was in breach of contract because chuu had already notified bbc and committed to not film the rest.

reminds me of this lmfao. if only.

    >Don't schedule for mondays

    >Gets scheduled for mondays

    >He quit EXPEDITIOUSLY

  • Sounds to me like BBC was trying to bully Chuu, and the other girls got caught in the crossfire.

If ya'll knew she had a schedule the next day, why would you arrange the group shot so late that it could interfere with her schedule the next day?

I don't know. Maybe another member also had schedules the next day and they were trying to accommodate that as well. But sounds to me like that's a BBC problem. Not a Chuu problem. Sucks for the other girls, but in the end, it's BBC's incompetent management that resulted in the hectic schedules.

Why couldn't they film the group shot earlier and film Chuu's shots earlier so that she could leave on time? They didn't mention another member also having a conflict of schedule, so doing that instead would make sense to me? But, I wasn't on the set, so I don't know.
