When BTS were rookies they released this Christmas song calling out their label and overall kpop system

  • This is a new finding for me. I never knew this song, and how ballsy they were to call out the kpop system of segregated training for boys and girls, for the crazy schedules, and how they miss their family.. love love it (also love how I still discovering BTS songs that I haven’t heard yet). Edit - it is a funny song too so don’t take it too seriously because they say poop lol

    A typical idol’s Christmas

Have you guys heard of this song before? Share what recent BTS song you just discovered.

  • Actually this is wrong. The song that was released on 23rd December 2013, 9 years ago today, was 'A Typical Idol's Christmas'. This one below :

In this one they are talking about how they are feeling after debuting on the first Christmas as artists.....

'A Typical Trainee's Christmas' (the one you posted above) is a pre debut song which was released on the 11th January 2013. Both are two different songs created using two different samples....

  • Oh wow.. thanks for that!! Lemme edit

  • Wait there are TWO? I only knew about one! DAMNNNNN

  • this is he perfect time of the year

This reminded me of another BTS Christmas song collaboration with 2AM Jo Kwon and other former BigHit artists 8Eight Joohee and Lim Jeonghee....

This was released just before 'A Typical Idol's Christmas'. That's why I guess RM & Jungkook are only in the chorus there while other members are omnipresent throughout the song.....

  • Noooo. Not the ttong ttong song. I remember the first time i heard it back in 2017, was thinking such a good sentimental song and then ttong ttong comes. Never listened to it again 😂😂.

  • I'd only heard Trainee Christmas before!

Yeah that's more popular one. Because they vented out everything in those lyrics. BTS are the best when it comes to express feelings into words.... :borahae:

Fun tidbit is 'A Typical Trainee's Christmas' was actually credited as Jin, Suga, Rap Monster and more when it was released. Because maknae line was not revealed then. Idk why J-Hope wasn't credited because he was a known member. I guess probably because he is only in the group chorus but idk.....
