Did Stray Kids blow up thanks to Bang Chan's reaction videos basically?

No, but his videos sure are cool.
They blew up with God's menu no? A song.

Yep, and each and every one of their comebacks since then have only gotten them bigger and bigger. Their success really started blowing up then though, for sure.

Idk, did they?
I just always see his reactions being posted by every single gg fandom I am part of, I've seen his Dreamcatcher reactions, Twice reactions, Gidle reactions, it seems to me that this helped increase their reach to a lot of Kpop fans through social media

Yep, he reacts to and loves pretty much every group out there. Sadly, since V-Live is shutting down, he had to move to YouTube live, and as a result, for the foreseeable future, he can only react to songs from the company to avoid copyright issues. It sucks, but just a heads up in case you didn’t know. No Dreamcatcher or Gidle reactions from him for a while.

Not sure but I like watching his reaction to my faves

Not the main reason, but definitely of the reasons to widen their audience. In some of the most successful episodes of his Vlives, his videos peaked at 6-4 million views while he was live streaming and in moments where Stray Kids wasn't even as popular as they are today.
And what brings attention isn't even only his reactions to artists, but he talks a lot about technical stuff of production and performance, how many things of the industry works behind the scenes (especially in JYP), his relationships with other idols and co-workers overall, his personal opinion on many topics that are usually hot topic on K-pop community etc.

I just want to say that I've naturally gotten into Stray Kids and I think the real turning point was Felix's deep voice how addicting it is in songs. I've been listening to Case 143 a lot and Maniac is constantly playing my head 😂

Both are so good! I really love the chorus of Maniac so much, and my favorite part of Case 143 is Chan’s ending part, it’s so good!

Same! I loved that part too, he looked so cool rewinding the music video inside of the music video. He’s such a good singer, really.

IDK, I think Bang Chan is likeable and people outside the fandom like him too, but does that really translate into sales? It looks to me like their sales before Go Live were pretty consistent levels, but really began trending upward with God's Menu and they had their cool Kingdom performances in there too. You might as well say that Ryan Reynolds reacting to Bang Chan resulted in more Canadian sales.
In some ways, Bang Chan reminds me of how second gen used to have a role for members who weren't the best singers, rappers, or dancers necessarily, but they were VERY charming, clever with a joke, and always had an interesting story, and they went on variety shows and did hosting gigs all the time. Again, I don't know that Leeteuk being interesting to listen to caused Suju to have more sales separately from their music, but it did result in people outside the fandom knowing who they were. I think Bang Chan has that effect: even if you don't know SKZ, you probably know Bang Chan.
