Definitely Hwasa at one point with her appearances on I Live Alone, plus Maria and Twit both did well and she was part of Refund Sisters. Also, I'd be surprised at this point if people didn't broadly recognize the BTS members' names, even if they couldn't pick them out, they'd go "oh, yeah, I've heard of Suga."

Who are some 3rd gen idols who have been able to get recognition with the domestic public and beyond the Kpop crowd?

2nd gen idols are known to be more popular/well-known amongst the general public, and a lot were able to make a name for themselves as household names. Names like IU, Suzy, Taeyeon, Yoona, Apink members, Sistar members etc.

Which 3rd gen idols would you say are legit household names, and are commonly known by the public, and not just the Kpop crowd?

In addition to Hwasa and BTS, possibly also Lisa. Money really went viral on TikTok. Or, come to think of it, any BLACKPINK member if people keep up with fashion.
