Well you can still see your idols on weverse live, if they’re on it already. There’s still Youtube and IG live to use anyway, it’s not the end of the world guys. Calm down.

Weird corporate move killing a service.

Not weird that's normal. This is why private companies not publicly traded ones often try to prevent buy outs like what happened with vlive because often the buying company just wanted to prevent competition and will often shutdown the service replacing it with their own service/ shuttering a business replacing the building with its own regardless if said business/service is better than the original. To them the bottom line and monopoly/market dominance is all that matters, no ethic's or impact analysis just how much $$$$$ does it make me.

Correct me on this, but isn't the end goal is for Weverse to become like VLIVE but with newsfeeds and such? I also think it was stated that Weverse live will be reachable for all idols?

I mean the move is weird, cause if not all companies sign with Weverse, they will lose their profit to other services, especially with big companies who produce groups with fanbases like JYP and SM. It would be really stupid to not extend this feature for them with a deal and let them make their own/switch to other services.

We knew about this at the beginning of last year.

SM and JYP already got bubble live

SM is also already adding features to kwangya club

Their artists stopped using vlive along time ago

Does Weverse have fan subs for their Videos?

Do they have Live Streaming?

Those were the major drawcards for VLive, especially the fan subbing.

Anyway, I am amused that Vlive will sell my info to Weverse even if I never join the platform
