Billboard can’t believe non-western acts have people buying albums while western acts struggled so much.. in the USA, their home turf to boot.. so they need some justifications to soothe their bruised ego.

Well that’s what I think anyway..

BB is always trying to "expose" something in kpop while pointedly ignoring domestic artists tactics. In fact, they often praise them for it showing their clear bias.

3.99$ is for digital album. How many times do I have to tell these dumb people. And it obviously says digitals there.

Maybe because there are streaming giants(artists) who are not album sales giants. The West are more of streaming and not about album sales so Kpop artists pulling big numbers of sales are suspicious or questioning for them which is understandable because its not as if CDs are still a thing in this today's generation where streaming is more prominent. This is also the reason why BBH100 made some changes in their rules relating to album sales due to mass buying of album copies just to be able to chart. There should be a correlation of album sales and streams for it to be acceptable.

They have always went into details about the acts that chart. It’s just that with BTS, and idk if they did it with BP too, they posted the details on twitter, right under the article tweet, something they never did before.
