Why do people think Idols are above asking people to buy/listen to their album/songs?

I guess it's inorganic...

As long as the fans don't say "my favs don't care about the charts" and then be proven wrong like some sick joke the universe pulled over them. It's totally okay to promote your own music. That's why I never understood why groups that state their goals and are honest are dragged by kpop stans.

I mean fans don’t mind it when they hold fan signs, sell bundles, cheap merch/albums, buying ads on YouTube, appearing in shows to directly promote their songs etc all in the name of making people buy their music but when they do it personally that’s crossing the line? Fans are idiots.

making one person by hundreds of albums for the CHANCE of getting to talk to an idol for a minute is a lot more morally grey compared to the group just telling their fans to listen to the album ajsdfhas

it's obvious Jisoo was asked to and probably told her what to write lol the girls are oblivious about these kind of things

Bc BP is having the biggest era this year, breaking records and the second fandom is camped on Twitter listening even to their radio appearance to find yet another thing to "invalidate".

In the end BP are obviously happy with all the support they receive and they worked hard for this album, let them promote this masterpiece.

Bc he is successful, loved, relevant, bc he is still active caring for his fans, bc he delivers art in every single era. Taemin is a role model and people are probably afraid that he'll get too big. Anyways, he is a legend in kpop with iconic songs.

People will always try to invalidate top acts.
