I'm surprised you still expect it to be trending after her scandal. I don't know if Irene would have wanted a solo music career, but I'm sure she would still be trending if she hadn't gotten into a scandal and started her solo career.

Scandal took away her popularity. Even SM can't get her jobs anymore.

But age isn't really the issue here though, Irene has always been older than her peers in 3g and she was still very popular. i best 90% of new idols no matter their age will ever match up to Irene's career.
