Why is hybe giving shit ton of variety shows to lesserafim but comparatively basisically next to no variety show appearances for newjeans

Les serafim is from Source Music and newjeans from Ador. Different labels will have different promo styles.

I can't comment on NJ but I for one love that Lesserafim are putting out so much content, they're fun to watch. It's a completely different label within Hybe so it probably just comes down to that.

Starving fans with no content is valid strategy (unironically). They're clearly taking completely opposite approaches for these two groups.

Lesserafim is being promoted as that crackhead fun-loving larger than life group, while newjeans’s image is more shy, cute teens being innocent and sweet like actual teens. It’s not hard to get why their companies chose the different promo methods to get them out there like they did. Each group has different strengths and it’s not a one size fits all. Hybe is actually being smart about how they approach each group’s promo

I have seen things for both, and I think they were all in house productions, I haven't noticed what you noticed

I’ve seen a lot of newjeans on TikTok though. Maybe they are aiming for their own age group. Or they are more comfortable doing TikTok

Most of the variety for LS is company made. Travel logs, behind the scene videos, office variety, Leniverse. Their Leniverse is exactly what the other Hybe groups have too.

I’m not sure about New Jeans as I don’t follow them but from what I seen Ador keeping it different from the rest of the groups. They even have a different app to communicate with the fans. Maybe that’s why they don’t have yet. But it’s also possible they gonna start it later. Not a rush they debuted not long ago.

Isn’t MHJ from SM? There is your answer. SM has a desire to present their idols as perfect representatives of their concepts. The more content means less control due to the effort of controlling the image. MHJ seems to have a very specific vision for NJ that does not include much input or independence from the members.

Lesserafim is trying for a more relatable group without a defined concept. Which is more like Big Hit and even Gfriend had their own variety show. Sakura and Chaewon went on some outside shows on their own to promote Lesserafim based on their clout from being in Izone.

Because they are not in the same company just same label. Let the company do their work first before complaining like Nj debuted 3 weeks ago? and lsfm 2 months ago?

weirdly enough, they've started writing and producing on their own TTs atm. The feel so far is a hybrid of SM and HYBE philosophies. But who knows that the future holds? Certainly you could argue that the NewJeans DIY girls-next-door aesthetic is just as controlling as the classic SM approach
