There's no doubt the other groups definitely had factors but I was under the impression that the Spice Girls was the best selling girl group of all time? I could be misremembering though.
Spice Girls managed to be powerful globally without the internet, so it's probably them.

I only knew about spice girls as a kid so probably them for me. I actually never heard about the others before I started being a fan of bp

Glad to see bp up with big names. For me it's little mix as I knew of them only as I was growing up.
But all the other western girl groups had no impact in Asia! Remember Asia as a whole has like 4.5 billion population. I don't understand why some think west = global. like no, it's not!
I can't say for all of them but SES were inspired by TLC and the rest were big generally, I know destiny's child and spice girls have toured in Asia and I'm assuming little mix did too?

I'm wondering why isn't Fifth Harmony on the list? They're more popular in the east compared to the western groups mentioned here. Aren't they that popular in the west? that's odd O_o
Fifth harmony were popular but not globally, mainly just USA and some of Europe and left no lasting impact tbh. The groups I chose are popular and known world wide (All continents of the world and have songs known world wide)

I disagree with BP, hate them or love them they're known worldwide and they have also gotten a lot of people into kpop which is a impact. Compare them to the other girls, they havent been there as long but I think that alone is a greater impact in itself. I was questioning if I should add SNSD as well, but too unsure the impact they had internationally

Yeah it really depends on your generation as well, but the fact you've heard of the other groups even though they were active yearsss ago, is a good indication of the impact they had

Now that's a lie they made little impact out of Asia, Gee was very popular I just don't know if it was worldwide popular
TLC's influence crossed music genres and arguably paved the way for Destiny's Child (which was a huge group, I'm not sleeping on their influence either). CrazySexyCool holds up surprisingly well over the years, when most of the Spice Girls albums seem increasingly dated. But as far as "musical influence" goes, TLC were a whole new wave. They were doing things NO ONE else was, and they did it well.
