Have you ever been slut-shamed or seen/heard of someone being slut-shamed?

  • There's this girl in my class who almost no one likes (I mean I don't either). But for some reason people are out to get her, like in an obsessive way. So my female classmates and some of the guys resorted to calling her a slut cause she's popular between the male students:pepe-just-smile: 3rd term was basically everyone in my class calling her that for some reason, or making rumors abt her

They were also saying that she's only with her bf for money or interest, something like that

Like these 14 year olds who probably can't even whipe their own arses really out here having opinions on other people's SCHOOL relationships and creating entire novelas surrounding them. Fkin sick

Really it just makes me wonder what they say about each other in private

  • That is just sad... And I was hopeful Gen Z would be better than this.

Take my word with a grain of salt though since my school is specifically known for being kinda weird and full of people like this

I also live in South America and teens here are still very uneducated on a lot of things compared to teens from USA. Latino society is very conservative and full of misogyny especially in the form of insults like this.

  • for a serious answer: the only slut-shaming i've witnessed in person is by older women trying to offend younger women, horribly enough. i was raised in a very conservative community where many of the girls weren't allowed to wear skirts above their ankles, show their shoulders, etc., without being looked down upon by other people in the group.

  • Yes, I have heard people being slut shamed. Quite common actually.

And I have also been slut shamed weirdly. Since I was quite virginal up until my 20s.

Jealousy is a hell of a drug. I hope the girl in your class has friends who really are there for her and care about her, and I kinda also hope she doesn't find out what people are saying and that the people instigating it stay far away from her. Unless she's the kind of person good at defending herself, then I hope she hears so she can rip into the people doing this.

People will do and say such crazy things to keep their own self image in tact.

  • Yes in junior high grade 9 one girl at my school a redheaded cheerleader had sex and I overheard other kids talking bad behind her back about it. I was very unpopular so I was confused why the same classes that sent dick pics over snapchat were so shocked by one girl having sex once.

  • She's very outspoken and LOUD, seems like the "don't give an F" type of person so I think she'll be fine for the most part

I do believe most people are jealous of her. She's gorgeous, sociable, quite smart actually. Is at least 6 guys' crush

I'm secretly rooting for her tbh, I don't like her at all but I feel everyone who's this bitter at 14 probably won't end up well lolol. On the other hand I can see her living a good life

Good for her then! The best thing she can do is to just continue to live her life happily. That will more than take care of everything.
