Yeah, that debut wasn't great. People also called Twice's debut a flop, even though they did 100 times better than NMIXX. Wonder Girls and Miss A had such massive debuts, that Twice's wasn't as good in comparison.
Here's hoping JYPe does better with their comeback.

Why are we feeling bad about a big 3 girl group lmao. They’re a JYP group especially a JYP girl group they will bounce back. I’m scared for Cherry Bullet and Weeekly. With all these big girl groups debuting some will be left behind.
But I won’t be surprised if their first comeback does well. People wrote off Nayeon and ITZY but look what happened.

This matters a lot more for a group from a small label. JYP has enough money that it's not a problem - and from the company's perspective, they sold a shit ton of albums so on their financials, it's successful. I know people on AKP don't consider album sales a metric of success but the companies certainly do and report it as key element of their business growth and performance on their financial reports. I think people need to re-evaluate their concept of flop.
well again that would depend on each person's definition of the word "flop"
by certain metrics a GG debuting selling what 300K/400K would hardly be considered a flop
