I don't think she could perform on most music shows either when she was promoting in SK, so she was probably prohibited from some promotions with SM's involvement.

that's the only one and it was probably bc seungri invited her

if sm has blacklisted her it can only be from music shows i think. Because tvxq member junsu was in mr trot show last year. And yoochun was in kdramas like i miss you and girl who sees scents after they left sm.

Srs question, do you guys know of any artists who have had normal careers after leaving SM?
Cause I know people who stay with SM have great career longevity with solos etc, but not many who don't seem like they really burned a bridge

Singing careers? No. SM's influence is too great, even over the ones who's contracts dissolve normally.

They mainly go into acting because despite SM's growing influence there, they can't blacklist people. That was JYJ's saving grace in Korea and in turn lead to them having the most successful music careers post-SM

Ok but why would SM blacklist her? As far as I know she left the group to pursue her fashion business or something.

I'm not sure of Korean Artists but literally every Chinese SM artist who's left SM has had very successful careers upon their return to China...(baring scandals of course - ie. Lucas and Kris)

True, the blacklist maybe has no power in China

She did get blocked by SM for sure but the general public opinion about her was unfavorable after she left. Her opening a luxurious sunglass brand didn't help either. Still, she seems to be doing well now. Her recent performance on the Chinese show was trending too.
