Well... I use an old chest as my bedside table.
- some books, I'm currently reading.
- alarm clock
- hand cream (which I apply every night, because my hands are often so dry.)
- pen

Nothing except my phone at night, cause I live under the rooftop wich means it's an angled wall and different to most angled walls here my wall is so low that I have no space for stuff like a lamp
Normaly a angled roof in Germany is anything between 80-100cm but mine allready starts at 60cm so you see where the problem is ...

I also have a small boombox that I put on it sometimes, but I usually keep it under my bed when I'm not using it because my cat liked to sit on my nightstand in the morning so I had to leave room for him.
