boy groups...because their music is what interests me, plus some good looking guys. Girl groups mostly do those girly/girl crush songs, I cant' get into them and while i may like a song here or there by some gg's i just cant find myself stanning them. It's not enjoyable for me. Where as the music BG's put out, the choreographies, the songs and lyrics are what I enjoy most. which is why i stan 35 of them lol. I'm not attracted to women, and that's another reason that i'm not drawn to them, unfortunately.

I feel like theres more girl groups nowadays who are doing music similar to boy groups though? the choreographies are also looking very similar. I'm curious whats different about boy group music lyrics?

I am sure GG's have some good meaningful lyrics too but i don't connect with them. I don't know how else to explain it.

Mostly GGs and I also listen to more GGs. They're all so pretty, they have better music imo, and more diverse, better concepts/sounds.
Most BGs turn me off with their "noise music", it doesn't compliment their low-pitched voices and to me they all seem to be doing the same or similar concept/sound so there's very little diversity.
I stanned TXT for like 3 years and a big reason for that is because they were the BG most similar to a GG for me but they were starting to blend in with their recent stuff and that's when I realized I simply couldn't get into them anymore.

boy groups are entertaining i stan some crack heads, they make me laugh and on a bad day i watch their content which immediately cheers me up. The performances they put on, even dramas they star in. I also collect physical albums and photocards and merchandise of my favorite groups...as someone not into women i would feel weird collecting them, which is another reason i'm not into them. Sure some straight women can enjoy gg music...i'm not one of them.

In second gen, I preferred a lot more boy groups to girl groups, but that was also the time period when entertainment companies thought girls could only be "cute" or "sexy" and that's it. These days, I prefer a lot more girl groups to boy groups, but there's also a trend where boy groups are getting more similar? I don't quite know how to put my finger on it, but it's like... even though there's a lot of music I like, there are only a handful of boy groups that are making music that I can hear just a few snippets and go "that's definitely them." Like I liked Enhyphen's Pass the Mic, but you could have told me about six different groups released it, and if I didn't know otherwise, I'd believe you.
But at no time have I ever only liked boy groups or only liked girl groups.

I think I'm a tad bit pickier towards gg's? I tend to like darker vibes and less high pitched vocals. Some groups fit that perfectly like Pixy or Purple Kiss. That doesn't mean I dislike cute songs or high pitched vocals all the time, that's just a general preference, and even then idk I'm still picky.
Also, I think I prefer how male vocals sound. And I know there is a stigma against the noise "generic bg sound", but I actually really adore that sound if done well. I think if a group does noise music and but adds their own recognizable style to it, I really love that. I can also be honest and say that preferring male visuals do help too, but that's not the most important factor. As long as I vibe with the music, that's the most important. But yeah for these reasons, bgs are more appealing to me personally.

do you have any examples of a boy group that does "noise music" but adds their own recognisable style? I feel like SM groups and SKZ are the only ones i know that do this well.

it's decent sized lol. In vegas it was so small ic ould hardly move around but at least i have room here. I can actually decorate and not feel cramped, though my room is a mess. But i've been working so i haven't had time to straighten it up, plus keeping an eye on my kitties. I feel like i don't have enough room though 'cause i have so much kpop stuff *rubs head*

boy groups. I find that the songs and vocals are too high for my taste with most ggs. Also, it seems like a lot of ggs are restricted with concepts that are "cutesy", sweet, young feeling, or really stereotypically feminine and that really doesn't appeal to me. I don't like it in bgs either, but find more bgs that aren't in those molds.
