since we have an abortion thread i guess i'll ask my question as well
1. we know that it is a woman's body thus she gets to decide whether to keep a pregnancy or not.
2. thus a man (unborn child's father) has no rights to force woman to either keep the child or abort.
3. the parties (man and female) have sexual relations purely for sex and purely for pleasure without any doubt of rape or sexual assault or otherwise and completely 100% consensual. no alcohol impairment for either parties and both parties are legal adults
4. as a result of 3, the woman becomes pregnant.
5. as a result of 4, the man wants the woman to abort but because of 1 and 2 the woman decides to keep the child.
6. should the man have obligations towards the child given that he had no say in the keeping or termination of said child ?
7. there is no element of fraud or lying pertaining to the use of contraceptives, either both parties used it and it didn't work or they didn't use it because they decided together
8. what are the man's obligations with respect to child support given the above?
(ignore state ordered child support but discuss with respect to the considerations mentioned above)
