This is absolutely true imo, it's easier to support a "stable" group with an agency that can support the career of its artists. The situation of certain idols is unfair and sometimes talented people who deserve more attention don't get noticed or can't gain a fandom because of the lack of resources and connections of the agency (and that obviously compromise the stability of the group) but at the same time the industry is oversaturated and so many groups keep debuting, there's a lot of small agencies too, that decreases the possibility of success even in more "fair" conditions.

Nothing wrong to support successful groups, I want my favs to be successful it’s just weird some using their favs’ achievements as their own and put down other groups too for being less successful it’s just funny to me

I also prefer supporting groups with potential I can’t support a nugu groups it’s just sad to see them failing.

There's nothing wrong with following trendy groups at all.

I don't think its a bad thing to follow successful groups but if you drop them as soon as they start to lose popularity then you were never a true fan

I don't blame you i understand this feeling. But for stanning both nugu and not nugu, stanning nugu is also a whole experience, you should try once if you never do and want to stan a nugu you will discover a new way to see and appreciate kpop it's also pretty fun.

i mean groups are popular for a reason, plus stanning a successful idol means that you probably dont have to worry abt disbandment and all

I stan Mamamoo since a while (they come from the real nugu world) and now i stan Purple Kiss (not really 'nugu' but not popular at all).

Stanning these group is really different from popular group. There is already much less toxicity and the fandoms are more united and look more like small families. There are a lot more interactions with the idols too since there are fewer fans. Fandoms are funny too and make a lot of self-mockery about themselves and their favs. They also like to celebrate anything and everything for example I saw my purple kiss fandom celebrate that a video reaches 100,000 views on youtube it's not a lot but it was really cool to see the joy of all the fans as if we had accomplished something crazy

Thank you but it was mainly to tell you that even if a group is nugu and that you like it, don't hesitate to stan it's also a great experience as a fan

The thing is.. Most Kpop fans can't stay 5 seconds without mention how successfull their faves are. I blame them for feeding this toxic way of seeing Kpop, where everything is a contest and idols are just pawns who are only use to boost their little egos. But i'm fine with normal people liking popular groups.

It's like marrying guy with stable income and avoiding guys who are in debt I guess
