RE : talent wise, ive is rather weak

    They get the job done well still and that's enough. Ive is more towards visuals and charms with good music. No one thinks they are the most talented.

    dancing: their dance line is gaeul, wonyoung, and yujin. the fact that yujin and wonyoung with their average dancing are there should already tell you how weak their dance line is. gaeul has never even stood out despite being the main dancer and her dancing is just mediocre. people criticize karina as an average dancer but i think karina is better than gaeul. i think starship should have either pushed gaeul to become a better dancer or invested in another trainee. they should have tried to…

    Because I was really genuinely curious. From a non-fan's perspective I couldn't see in what they stand out talent-wise. Some answers were interesting. Recently I came to the conclusion they might not stand out in anything, talent-wise, but they are not terrible in anything either. They do a good job as dancers, singers, idol rappers and performers overall and that's fine.

    Yeah they have no stand out talent like vocal or dance. But i feel they aren't weak on the stage and can put on a show. It's their charms and visuals that really do wonders.

    I'll give this person props though. Atleast this thread was more lowkey than the "aespa is the best and you have to deal with it" anon thread.

    imo giselle is better than rei at rapping (karina too). It's just that sm gives them many rap lines, making them seem worse than if they barely got any rap parts. imo, sometimes sm give their idols more rap parts than they can handle, making people diss giselle's rap when it's not even bad.

    Dancing and especially performance wise (charms) IVE is better.

    When will people learn that having great vocals is not the main thing to be a top act? Even in the west, many legendary acts like Madonna, Britney, Michael, Elvis had ok vocals but their star power and showmanship were on another level. You need the whole package to be successful. If you have great vocals and beautiful face but look lifeless on stage and don’t have charming personality, not many would admire that.


    As someone who got interested in IVE, the main reason for me is the charming girls and the music!! Eleven and Love Dive are different from a lot of current GGs songs is it’s so refreshing and addictive. The girls are also very good at facial expressions and show confidence during performances, very unrookie-like. It’s impressive.
