I‘m pretty sure her parents would be a lot less worried if they had the power that rich people have.

Apart from that, many people assume some idols are wealthy from the way they carry themselves (eg Wonyoung), and I get the opposite vibe from Yujin.

That’s she’s not from a poor family exactly, but the way she carries herself implies that she was a regular kid with a dream that came true.

Not too many. Training is tough with no guarantee of success, while gaining no marketable skills if they don't make it. So it is kinda too risky for people with limited means

and even if debuts one is not guaranteed any form of success

I don’t really care about any of the rich/poor stuff but what about Yena’s cancer as a child?? I am more curious about that. I like her and just found out about this.

I am so happy she is well and successful now.

Idk parents being worried about their kids moving to another city alone and pursuing a career at a very young age seems standard to me. Not sure it says anything about Yujin's family's financial situation.

I'm trying to come up with a poor 4th gen idol but I'm seriously blanking. I think there's a fair share of the that aren't rich but I haven't really heard any stories about their family's struggles or how they became an idol to support their parents that were semi common during earlier generations.

Probably Shuhua, Miyeon, Soyeon and Yuqi because we know Minnie is from rich family. I heard some says Yuqi is rich to because of school but she did great job at high school exam entering %10 in China.

And apart from that, Yena is truly the only case that I can remember where a 4th gen idol‘s family struggled financially. I cannot remember anyone else.

My mom was worried when I went on a language trip abroad for 3 weeks at fifteen It could have to do with their finical situation but it could also just be parents feeling worried like parents do

No, neither can I I'm sure they exist but if there was any in a popular group I feel like it would have been revealed.

I also come from a simple family with simple resources so if anyone wants to donate akorn I would be thankful (it will help my debut in 2030)
