  • Hi. You're back! You're probably really happy and excited about 2NE1's reunion.

    • Hi. Thanks for the welcome back!

      YESSS I AMM

You cannot believe how excited and happy I am that 2NE1's reunited!

I feel like part of me is whole and alive again that hasn't been since 2016 when they disbanded. It's like I'm 17 years old and just discovered 2NE1 and Kpop again! (That was in 2011 tho)

I watched Day 1 of their concert in Seoul and part of Day 2 on YT and even bought Dara's plushie from the concert merch :lover1:

How are you? Happy and excited about Big Bang's reunion at Taeyang's concert? And GD's upcoming return with a solo album later this year? Ik it must be a little sad to see T.O.P not with them anymore but it's great to see some of the old legends returning again!

    • I also discovered 2NE1 right around that time, so I can relate! I admit I wasn't as into K-pop back then as I am today, but the nostalgia is still strongly felt. If they tour the U.S. in my area, I will try to see them. I hope it happens. I wasn't able to fully experience 2nd gen because I got into it late, so I missed out on a lot.

I was also happy about BIGBANG's reunion at Taeyang's concert! It gives me hope that they'll reunite for a comeback and maybe a tour in the future. I hope T.O.P has a change of heart and ends up being part of the group again, at least whenever he wants to.

I missed out on MADE Tour, so I just want to see the four of them in concert at least once. But one of the members does a solo tour in a city near me, I'll gladly, too.

Definitely looking forward to GD's return! He writes some great songs, especially the ballads, so I'm excited to see what he comes out with.

    • Me too! One of my biggest regrets is never seeing 2NE1 when they came to the US back in 2013 (tho they were still several states away from me and I was a poor college student with no means to get there 😅), but if 2NE1 are in my area (lol BLACKPINK joke), this time I'm determined to go since my bf said he'll drive me to New York, which is still a couple states away from me, even tho he's still scared of driving since his car accident last year! (don't worry he and the other person are both fine) He's such a sweetie pie~ :holding-back-tears: I'm hoping 2NE1's world tour gets announced before the end of this year so I can get tickets as a Christmas gift :pepe-pray: 🙏❤️ Prayer circle to the Kpop gods that the odds are both ever in our favor for our favorite 2nd gen groups including 2NE1 coming in our area and that we get tickets this time! 🕯️

You're right, tbh idk many ballads by GD, but his song Black ft Park Bom is one of my favorite songs of all time. That man is deep and he's like the OG Kpop idol self-composer forreal lol. BTS owe everything to him and Big Bang honestly lol (but don't tell other ARMY I said that lol! 😂👌💜)

    • Wow, they only had two tour stops in the United States that year. K-pop has come along way since then. I was in high school around that time. Even though I wasn't into K-pop as much, I was around people who loved it, so I got exposed to it and I also got influenced eventually. Sometimes I wish I looked into it more because that seemed like such an amazing time to be a hardcore K-pop fan. I guess that's why I'm more passionate about it now, just trying to make up for what I didn't experience.

I hope you get to see them! Honestly, I was expecting myself to go to more K-pop concerts this year, but I'm glad I only went to one because I have a feeling there's a lot coming in 2025.

I respect you for being ARMY and still appreciating GD and BIGBANG! 2nd gen fans who later became ARMY tend to be more like you because they know what it's like. The newer ARMY often discredit and disregard a lot of things that came before BTS. They have an entirely different perspective about K-pop. They don't understand.

    • Hey sorry for the late reply! I wrote a really long, heartfelt response to your last comment pretty much as soon after you posted on my wall, but I was on my mobile with tons of ads so AKP automatically reloaded the page for no reason whatsoever and lost the whole thing, so then I got completely demoralized and gave up for a while XD; I finally got over my pretty bad cold that I’ve had for the past 2 weeks and was pretty much just sleeping this whole week until the past day or so, and now I’ve finally gotten out my computer so I can finally use AKP uninterrupted! XD

You’re 100% right about everything! The new Kpop fans have a completely different perspective and don’t understand at all! You have no idea how happy I am to finally talk to someone else about this who gets it lol~ 2nd gen was a truly once-in-a-lifetime time to be into Kpop. It’s like watching The Beatles start rock/pop music- it only happens once. It’s too bad that you missed being a hardcore Kpop fan during that time, I’ll admit it truly WAS an amazing time to be part of the fandom ^^; but I’m glad you get to make up for some of it by being a hardcore fan now, even tho it’s not really the same :)

You know even tho I *was* a hardcore fan during 2nd gen, I sorta feel like I know how you feel cuz I always felt like I got into KPop late by only getting into it 2011 instead of 2009 when it first truly exploded across Asia and the world. Even tho I was aware of Kpop’s existence for a long time because I was into JPop back in 2005-2010-ish, and my dad, who at the time was a middle-aged Chinese man from Taiwan, did show me and my family the viral sensation videos Sorry Sorry and Gee, so I wasn't completely out of the loop. I always regret that time I didn't jump in headfirst into the fandom then too, cuz I didn't get to witness so many things and truly witness the hype for all it was worth and truly be a *part* of that movement. But hey, at least we finally were hardcore Kpop fans long enough to witness the sensational movement of Kpop *really* breaking into the West, which is always what it wanted to do. So we just have to enjoy being hardcore fans now, I guess! :finger-heart: :borahae:

What Kpop concert did you get to go to this year? :woow: I'm so jelly, I only got to go to 1 real Kpop group concert in my lifetime, and that was to see Infinite perform in NYC in 2013 cuz my friend got tickets, hotel + road trip for her birthday. I also saw Hyoyeon from SNSD perform a DJ set and Bang Yong Guk from B.A.P, BTS's predecessors, last year tho so I guess "Everything's Not Lost", haha~ :-P

  • Heyy~ Can you spare me some akorns? :pepeflushed:

  • Who are the other four guys in your dp?

    • The other 4 guys in my dp besides BTS are the members of Coldplay 🙂

The picture is from their collab together called My Universe, which I love~ 🌌❤️

I made that my dp a while ago tho when the song first came out and haven't bothered changing it since cuz BTS are my bias group and MU is one of their best songs. The lyrics & MV are so meaningful.

Maybe I should change it, tho~ 🤔 cuz it's been a minute since that song came out lol and SNSD have come back since

    • ohh yeah i thought i recognized the lead vocalist Chris Martin so i assumed it was them

are you excited for Pink Venom btw? :excited-bee:

    • yessssssss! tho, I was kinda let down by the teasers, but I'm sure that's just cuz they're teasers and the actual song & MV are gonna be amazing lol :excited-bee:💕

  • hi

  • Thank you for following :pepelove2:

  • hey <3
