You know when you get the butterflies because a song just hit?The middle of 2024 made me step back from K-Pop a bit but Mytro, the BP girls and Meovv have drawn me back in! Honorable mention to Katseye's Touch
My resolution for 2025 is to read as little K-Pop news as possible and focus on releases only.

I volunteer in a small second-hand shop and the amount of stuff we get every day is insane. Most of it can't stay on the shelves for long, because we get so much stuff that requires space.
I specifically work with books and the amount of books that have completely lost value has shocked me into being a more mindful consumer: recipe books, health & fitness books, travel guides, dictionaries, encyclopedias, books that were trendy once but no one will buy today anymore, it's all just... paper waste. Boxes upon boxes every week.
If you can, please use libraries and thrift stores.

The BTS members are great at always highlighting each member's strengths and insisting that each member is indispensable. They show a strong team bond consistently through the years, while also being vulnerable about rocky paths.
That somehow translated to: "All 7 need an equal amount of success and whoever gets too big needs to be torn down" in the fandom.
That is not what the members have ever demonstrated in their content. In fact, they show up in each other's solo content.
I may not bias Jungkook as much anymore, because I didn't click with his solo content fully. But I hate the way he's been torn down since the solo era started by so-called ARMYs.
And I'd call myself a casual because I don't feel as dedicated as other users here, but it's still upsetting to see.
I also don't like how hate then gets thrown back at Jimin or other members. I honestly appreciate ARMYs here. Everyone shows up a little extra for their bias and that's okay. But I've seen more love toward all 7 here than outside the forum.

I'm ESL and always read SHINee as "shi-neh" because "nee" means "no" in my language and is pronounced "neh".
I finally heard it pronounced as "shiny" and I honestly thought it sounded kind of stupid until I got used to it
I uh... I also believed for a hot second that BTS were a bunch of virgins, because "they totally aren't allowed to date, you guys". In my defense, I was suspicious of that one from the start.

I can't predict how this will turn out for them. Regardless of how it will end, I think they are brave and inspiring, because from what we know, they are standing up for what they believe in. And I can only be excited for that.
I hope it works out and that they find footing in a new company and have a successful rebrand.
Maybe it's a pipe dream, but maybe they'll continue to surprise us. I wish them continued success

I find it difficult to rest. When to rest, how to rest. I technically can relax this weekend. I earned it, I had planned it, but then a productive day fills me with so much joy and accomplishment that it feels more enticing to push myself for it. However, I should have learned the lesson by now, that that's not how bodies and brains work over long periods of time. I have to tell myself that I am not slacking by sticking to my plan and not do anything this weekend.
