In 2022 JYPE only had one hit song which was Pop! which proved to be just pure luck as it didn’t help Twice’s comeback at all.
Now with the direction NMixx and Stray Kids are going musically, JYPE is becoming the next SME. Poor digital performance, good physical sales, lots of ads to inflate views, and focus on international market.

Hmm if you think about it, they sell albums every year. So not only did it have an extra edition boost it also had back catalogue sales every year that latter releases would have to make up the difference. In that era girl groups weren’t doubling their album sales every few months, especially with how often they released.

If a group isn’t able to increase album sales per comeback it means that group already peaked
Twice was also probably one of the luckiest groups with their comeback dates. Their songs only peaked at like 600-800k uls which is pretty low for #1 songs.

Both twice and the Wonder Girls were huge for a good 2 years in Korea before declining. There are also parallels as when Wonder Girls started focusing internationally, SNSD surpassed them in Korea similarly to how when Twice started focusing internationally, BLACKPINK surpassed them.

I consider any song not peaking within the top 3 on Gaon digital chart as a flop unless there is some insane longevity going on (Dolphin for example).
I’m gonna ignore IVE because they just debuted a year ago but it seems to me BP are the only group to have never flopped. Can’t include NewJeans because Hurt flopped
