Their flop year is still better than others best year
They weren't about to pull numbers with a hiatus ballad (which apparently other fandoms can excuse their favs ballads underperforming but not BTS) and compilation album with songs we've already heard a billion times. And then only giving us a total of 4 new songs, BTS really took the word hiatus seriously.
Considering they have like 300 songs- all of which are mid btw it’s not impressive

Their album sales peaked in 2020, streams peaked in 2021, visuals peaked in 2018, and awards & controversies peaked in 2020. It is now 2023 and people don’t talk about BTS like they used to. Since they’re all enlisting soon I’m scared they’ll be forgotten by the time they’ll have a group comeback in 2026.
The only 3rd gen group that remains to peak is BLACKPINK I fear

Does Twice really have that many #1 songs? Because I was deep in the K-Pop sauce during that entire stretch, as a huge and still huge Mamamoo fan, and this is how I at least remember the top girl group songs each year, starting in 2016:
2016: Cheer Up
2017: Red Flavor
2018: Dududu
2019: Fancy/Kill This Love/HIP
2020: Psycho/Lovesick Girls (someone will have to remind me of what Twice dropped this year...More and More?)
2021: I'm not even sure (this is where I kind of disengaged from K-Pop/took a break)
2022: Fourth Gen Domination
So out of the years I can vividly remember, I'd say 2016 was the only one where Twice absolutely dominated digitally and/or had the best charting song among their peers.
Did they really get #1 over Red Flavor and Dududu? That can't be right.
2016- Cheer Up
2017- Red Flavor & AIIYL
2018- DDDD
2019- Dalla Dalla
2020- HYLT & LSG
2021- Next Level

Supporting a group still contributes to their success.
For me, personally I would never stan a nugu group that can’t chart well because they might as well just disband since they’re not making any money.
Supporting an already popular established group like BP or Loona will give you clout, something that supporting a group like NMixx and recently Twicewon’t give you.
Therefore there is nothing wrong with being a succes Stan. You’re boosting the popularity of a group by supporting them just for charting purposes. You’re buying the albums, streaming the songs, and going to concerts.

Are you new to kpop? Gfriend had multiple hits and 2 national hits
1. Rough (National Hit)
2. Me Gustas Tu (National Hit)
4. Glass Bead
5. Love Whisper
6. Fingertips
7. Time For the Moonlight
8. Sunrise
9. Summer rain
Mamamoo did good too but Gfriend and Twice used to be like Ive and New Jeans in 2016 and 2017 kpop. SO if anything they are after number 4 and Red Velvet in number 3
Half of those songs you listed aren’t hits. The only real ones are MGT, rough, navillera, and TFTML

Given how BTS are allegedly self proclaimed to be the biggest group in the world how come none of their solos are doing well in comparison to Rosé, who is arguably the least popular member or BP. Rose outviewed, outcharted, and outsold despite being a woman in a sexist country.
What does this say about BTS’ popularity as a whole?

where are JYPs first and 2nd gen artists?
None of them are relevant in this day and age. They are ancient

Gfriend had 4

Fancy wasn't a Friday release and wasn't pushed anywhere in the West what kdbngkjng just because they switched their concept doesn't mean they were going for the West, it just got a positive reception internationally. They arguably didn't start until M&M/ICSM with the English versions and then The Feels/FOL with Friday releases & English songs
Like if you wanna troll at least do some research
Feel Special was their first real flop actually thank you

Twice declined starting with Fancy which was when they started focusing internationally so no I am not wrong.
And Mamamoo is the closest thing we have to a 2NE1 of 3rd gen. Lack of visuals, a couple of hit songs that don’t get covered by idols, decent stage performances, lack of dance ability, etc
