suga with his producing background has an incredible future ahead of him im sure of it. wine, we don’t talk together, and eight (especially) are huge hits so idk why you said he flopped ? jhope and RM don’t release music that caters to the general public which i like. i mean they’ve released friendly music for years under the brand bts so it makes sense they’d want to put out whatever when they have no more restraints. rm’s mono is a masterpiece. and while i appreciate jhope going for a different music style, i loved his previous mixtape hope world. jungkook will be huge provided bighit promote him properly. jimin is getting great exposure by his feature on a long awaited taeyang comeback. Jin’s solo was very haphazard i agree but it’s all bighits fault. im not sure about v tbh.
but regardless, bts have proved their power over and over again as a group and individually. if the only metric to consider someone successful is melon charting that no one other than kpop stans give a damn about or some YouTube views that are highly manipulated… ur crazy. they’re charting internationally, touring with other world famous performers (Coldplay), performing at lollapalooza and just living their best lives at their own paces. i love that for them
This just proves my point. BTS relies on collabs to be successful they can’t chart by themselves

If we take into account how much payola Jungkook will be given if he releases an English song, I can see Jungkook being the only relevant soloist in BTS. We have all seen how even though BTS are allegedly the biggest group in the world, the failure of Suga, Jin, Jhope, and RM's solos. Poor streams, poor charting especially in Korea, poor sales.
If V puts out a solo song no one will understand what he's singing because he always sounds like he has something stuck in his throat and Jimin... people will file a complaint to the radio stations if they hear that screechy voice for more than 30 seconds.
Jungkook, although a poor vocalist compared to the likes of Rose, Beyonce, and Whitney Houston, has a voice bearable enough to listen to given the right amount of autotune

Charted higher than your faves biggest peak ever on HOT 100. If it's a flop then your faves whole career is flop.
Peak doesnt matter if the song has no longevity. Also the song completely flopped in Korea

saying this as ONCE
Pop wasn't even that good song and actually Nayeon herself was the only reason it did so well
I expect great things from Jihyo, not to mention if she will 'unpack' herself from all those clothes people will die.

Reminder that yet to come completely flopped everywhere

I promise all of your idols from those weird nugu companies like Hybe and Starship have auditioned for a big 3 company and got rejected because they weren’t talented or pretty enough.
If you get into a big 3 company and you debut, you deserve the success because the trainees are the top of the top when it comes to talent and visuals. Unless your name is Giselle and your aunt is dating the chairman of SM. It’s like getting into an Ivy League, not everyone is good enough.

Yess I’m all for those BTS girlies to go to war

BTS album costs four times the standard price
I’m tired of these excuses. Their previous albums were normally priced Stray Kids/Seventeen are gonna outsell those too
-
Namjoon said they want to play the long game and not just be trendsetters....let's see if they succeed
They’re definitely not trendsetters and they’re def not for the long game considering how quickly Korea dropped them
-
Both seventeen/stray kid’s most recent albums almost outsold Proof. Proof was released by BTS, who are allegedly the biggest group in the world with no competition and are a wall.
If BTS are as big as army’s make them to be how can these two boy groups who make no impact in Korea or globally sell more albums than them?

All their songs are mid and flop

This just goes on to show how impressive BP are considering their 2 song albums outchart and outsell BTS

Reminder that Yet To Come tanked and BTS are over

Looking back at the state of K-pop the past 5 years, it’s obvious to me BP have had the most impact on the K-pop scene. They started the girl crush concept trend, the noisy music trend, the empty chorus trend, the IG model trend, the TikTok trend, the only releasing singles instead of albums trend, the only one comeback a year trend, and the nagging designer deals trend.
What has BTS done for K-pop? Releasing mediocre songs like Dynamite, Butter, and Permission To Dance that tarnishes the reputation of a whole genre of music to the American audience. Considering how badly Yet To Come and BTS solos have performed, it is clear Korea is over them.
Can we agree?

Some Onces will say that Jihyo will be a successful soloist because of how try hard she is when dances in her performances but she has no it factor or the visuals that Koreans like. Her voice is cute but nothing special like Rosé.
Sana is pretty but she can’t hold a note for her life. Don’t get me started with Momo- she is the sole reason Twice’s career ended in South Korea.
Dahyun, Mina, Chaeyoung, Jeongyeon aren’t relevant enough.
And Tzuyu is just… there. She should go into acting. She’s pretty I’ll give her that
