Both twice and the Wonder Girls were huge for a good 2 years in Korea before declining. There are also parallels as when Wonder Girls started focusing internationally, SNSD surpassed them in Korea similarly to how when Twice started focusing internationally, BLACKPINK surpassed them.

Twice declined starting with Fancy which was when they started focusing internationally so no I am not wrong.
And Mamamoo is the closest thing we have to a 2NE1 of 3rd gen. Lack of visuals, a couple of hit songs that don’t get covered by idols, decent stage performances, lack of dance ability, etc

Fancy wasn't a Friday release and wasn't pushed anywhere in the West what kdbngkjng just because they switched their concept doesn't mean they were going for the West, it just got a positive reception internationally. They arguably didn't start until M&M/ICSM with the English versions and then The Feels/FOL with Friday releases & English songs

2NE1 had 9 number 1 songs and the most digital success of any female group in South Korea as far as downloads. Dara was regularly ranked with Suzy, above Yoona, during the 2009-2011 peak as far as visuals. I wouldn't say they only had a "couple" hit songs nor lacked visuals. They weren't as visual focused as groups like SNSD etc were.
