blackpink actually had it worse than baemon it took a while for them to release an album if anything baemon have more content for fans and even released more songs that rookie blackpink did. but it's all good thoughI think Yg is learning with their new acts to promote them more.

I don't want to make this into an achievement argument thread. In terms of digitals for sure NJ is the 1top, even above Bp and Twice. But being the 1top in one criteria doesn't make up for missing an entire other criteria. It can compensate for an area they're weaker in (like maybe a smaller discography or less tours) but not the absence of it completely.
It's how I'll never consider Stray Kids a top 5 boy group no matter how many million albums they sell or stadiums they sell out - to me it's too hard to compare without an actual popular song that is able to chart in SK. Of course in NJ's case it's not that they CAN'T but that they haven't been able to, but again that's dependent on the future.
yeah digital performance is only one criteria imo it's more important in order to be considered a top group you need to do well in all areas. Mind you, Many girl groups have had hit songs but that never helped them in the long run.
I don't even think is only touring power they are behind but the are groups that have a much bigger reach internationally like blackpink and individual power (spotify, billboard etc)as we ll and to some extent twice is more popular than them internationally too. There are other groups that have potential like aespa.

Im aware of this. The OT7 and OT9 lineup. People like Jinny and kim euna, as well as moon sua etc. (Honestly, out of these I liked Jinny the most. She truly is a lost gem. When she debut with Secret number, you can see she has star factor)
But i think the plan fell through cause YG is just terrible in managing big group as evidenced by Treasure. YG just got lucky with BM with the way they are being managed
moon sua was never in the lineup for this group tho. There were two group pink punk and a younger group in which moon sua was part of it along with seoyeon and two more.

probably chicano/cholo accent is more like a wannabe gangsta accent but that accent =/= latino accent though.
I still think idols should stop using these African American themes they should realize they might offend their own fans and they need to let go of these stereotypes

1) Rosé is native English speaker
2) Rosé is a much stronger dancer. She is second only to Lisa in the group
3) Rosé is more versatile compared to Miyeon. Rosé fits both the soft ballad type of music as well as fierce girl crush concepts (Miyeon was always pointed out as not fitting in GIDLE's strong image in early days)
4) Rosé plays instruments and writes music. She is portrayed as the talented + sincere one in the group
Both are my bias in respective groups but i cant see YG picking Miyeon over Rosé
I actually think Jennie is second to lisa in dancing as having more fluid moves not saying jennie is like super strong dancer but she is actually pretty decent. imo her issue is the lack stamina. I was following a choreography channel that actually knew about dancing. they used to break down and analyze members of popular groups straights and weakness in terms of dancing.
But Rosé is more consistent than Jennie and has more attitude . Rose is a very good performer imo

Honestly, it was such a wasted opportunity for BP to be more vocally stronger. However, to note that Miyeon if included in the group, she will be dragged to hell for:
1) Poor coordinating in dancin
2) Dull personality and facial expression

This group was meant to be a larger group though. it was initially 9 members. I don't know if you remember but since I've been following this groups since predebut I can tell you that YG always talked about wanting to have his YG's snsd version, but I think maybe because of his lack of experience with not working with larger group at that moment, he probably shortened it to OT5 and I think bc Miyeon left so then it became ot4. I actually don't think she was kicked out but rather she was tired of their debut being pushed back

you were saying showing wide acting dynamic range so I'm saying she has shown a wide range of emotions for someone who only recently started it's her second drama. She keeps improving in that sense I hope she works on her diction more
ok at least we agree on that Lisa is a solid rapper. Oh and about Rosé not sure but based on her spotify streams it seems people like her music. I personally think she has a couple of nice songs
3rd gen - prettier visuals
4th gen prettier groups overall
I feel it's the opposite 3rd gen have prettier visuals as groups overall any member of those groups could be visuals if we are talking about twice, bp and rv only lol You can't say the same with LSFM, G idle ( if they are included) or Aespa even with Ive that are a good looking group I think is mostly 3 or 4 members that can pass as visuals.

yeah I fixed that part but I think the ot5 period was really short. It's because we mostly saw unseen pics of the 7 members during 2013-2015
