I would definitely prefer something like seven, the standard style for kpop mvs is overdone and boring at this point

Butter was 289.2M, flowers was also 217.1M but had just a tiny amount less than seven

The Third Age of Kpop has fallen into legend. BTS is on hiatus and BP will probably soon be. MMM seems like a group in name only as well, they're a collection of soloists just like how i think BP will be come September. OMG might surprise with their new comeback but the highlight trailer sounded mid at best. Brave Girls are gone, Gfriend is gone, RV hasnt come back in 15 months i think. April, Apink, Lovelyz, Laboum, AOA, EXID, Momoland are either defunct or passing into history as well. Seventeen and NCT are fandom groups, and EXO is a collection of soloists at this point as well.
The last attempts by 3rd gen to claw back relevancy seem to rest on the solos of JK, Tae, Jihyo, other Twice or BP members. Aside from these, we will probably never see a 3rd gen group on top of Melon Weekly ever again.
BTS may be on hiatus but the members certainly aren't

Since this is just a prediction...I'm gonna say 15m-17m.

Jimin already did extremely well with his album, Jungkook and Taehyung are bound to do just as well if not better as well. Yoongi also has the potential to be super successful since he's produced/wrote a fair number of hits in Korea already and generally is the most popular rapper. Namjoon will definitely write/produce some more hits for other members, and Jin and Hoseok will do moderately well. Even saying all this, I think it's unrealistic to expect every member to have ultra successful mega careers as soloists.

I was thinking about something doesn’t Spotify only count up to certain number of streams a day?
In that case isn’t it better to be two different versions? Isn’t that more profitable? Especially for kpop groups where fans like to support all releases?
Maybe this is requested by the company and it might be better for the groups as well.
I'd argue that combining the streams is better overall, it doesn't change the filtering rate and it gives a much more accurate representation of how many streams a song actually has in total.

lmao if there is one group that casual i-fans will remember, it's BTS. it's more realistic to say that they would forget about literally every other group before they forget about BTS

I think bp has good records all accross this time except physical sales, need to do comparison both album. Op mentioned this year.
if you wanna compare spotify streams, proof was significantly bigger on spotify than born pink
-
just getting #1 on global spotify isn't enough to surpass BTS this year tho
-
maybe girl groups but they still aren't touching BTS this year

lots and lots of bundles, if that same album released today it probably wouldn't even get a third of the sales
