I don't think she was trying to make it seem like raw vocals at all? like the processing is super clear and obvious, the recording is obviously polished. Just cause she didn't record the whole song, doesn't mean she was trying to "trick" anyone, it would have been easy to tone down the processing otherwise. People are seriously overreacting to anything LSF does at this point. It's a recorded cover like there's been a bazillion others of.

since when do covers have to be live? literally most covers I've ever seen idols upload are pre-recorded and they mostly "pretend to sing" along because that's how people...do that? are they meant to just stare at the camera to accurately convery they're not singing live?
ppl are so excited to dunk on le sserafim everything now needs to be a "gotcha" moment

the one time we'll agree on something. Wheein is literally the best vocalist and dancer in the group, by what made-up metrics is she the least talented?
-
Twice: Dahyun
Mamamoo: Moonbyul (cause they're a vocal group)
IVE: Rei/Wonyoung/Leeseo all seem around the same level to me
NJ: Minji
LSF: Eunchae
Babymonster: I don't know them that well, maybe Pharita or Ruka?

a more accurate source isn't Garam's angry friend two years ago
you think Hybe sat her down when they terminated her contract and said btw we just hired you and spent all that money on you for noise marketing, bye now.
but I'm gonna stop here bc I promised myself I wouldn't engage in obvious troll bait anymore so.
-
Literally none of your historionics in interpreting the scandal are relevant to me. If I'm obtuse, you're being obnoxious.
This obsession with the narratives of fans and the general public is just unnecessarily diluting the conversation and, ironically enough, changing the narrative into a pedantic defense of Hybe against the malicious whims of the people critiquing their every move.
That's not what this topic is about though. This is her CLOSE FRIEND basically accusing Hybe of not acting in good faith. Stop extrapolating all these other irrelevant tangential details.
You are way too quick to defend a company no matter what the topic. This isn't the Megathread. Relax.
in other words you'd rather believe something that makes no sense bc it fits your narrative, as per usual. Or more likely you don't actually believe it but it makes great fanwar fodder. I don't know why I bother.
-
this is just being obtuse
her friend was obviously mad on Garam's behalf, I'm sure Garam was bitter about the whole thing too. I'm sure she felt discarded. These are all STILL teenagers today, they were even younger then.
but the fact is their "personal letters" and character statements could have painted Garam as the second coming of Saint Teresa at that point and it woulnd't have swayed the public. After the other girl got a lawyer and publicly accused Hybe of shielding her bully, driving her to attempted suicide and the school violence document level 5 was published, it was over for Garam in the public eye. And Hybe still tried after that, so the idea that they only got her in the group to, what, negatively overshadow the debut of an already highly anticipated group and force them to rework almost all their pre-recorded content is just idiotic.
-
Fact is, Garam has a record for cyberbullying, her accuser does not.
it's obvious she was a troubled girl. And made enemies in elementary/middle school, clearly. That said that particular situation was complicated and if she hadn't come from a disadvantaged background, she wouldn't have gotten that record most likely. IIRC her mother said she agreed to it bc it put Garam in free counseling sessions. And that she didn't realise what it would mean for her in the long run, so she clearly didn't have access to a lawyer.
people were still absolutely vile about her online including allegations of her trading sexual favours bc Hybe tried to defend her for as long as they did. So to then turn around and try to use her as a blameless victim of Hybe's evil machinations for their fanwars is just more vile behaviour.
-
As HYBE are bullies themselves, they can't keep an idol known to stand up against bullies and defend their friends. She had to go.
that's literally what Hybe tried to say back then, that she was only trying to defend her friend. That was their exact line to try and keep her in the group. And they got called lying mediaplayers for it, so...
but sure, after she's kicked out, it now benefits kpop fans to use her against Hybe so now she gets to be a victim I guess? People's conduct regarding this girl and that whole scandal was so damn gross.

it is because the actual documents quoted say no such thing as "LSF stole a brand deal from NJ". That's the story the TheQoo poster presents based on their own speculation, just disguised as facts. The court documents are publicly available and while there are claims from Hybe vs MHJ re: some brand deal issues, the court says nothing about it except to say MHJ didn't act against Ador's interests or illegally re:Hybe's accusation. That's literally it.
-
in which case in can't have been about debut period, which means: there's no way LSF "stole" anything from NJ when every member of NJ had individual brand ambassadorships at the time LSF signed with LV. Including Hyein as individual one. They could not have done a group deal at that point.
the thequoo interpretation is just about creating hate for LSF.
-
that whole post makes no sense
Sakura was already repping LV before NJ debuted. NJ have individual brand deals so they can't rep LV as a group, there'd be conflict of interest. You can't rep Gucci and LV at the same time. LSF's LV deal came long after NJ signed their individual brand deals with Dior, Gucci, Chanel etc. And Hyein has an individual brand deal with LV too.

for me, I distanced myself from online Kpop discourse cause it was bad for me. This forum is probably the most toxic place remaining cause it's like 50% trolls 50% normal users who stan different groups/companies so the trolls always seem to win.
I only came back due to curiosity but won't stay, there's nothing of value being talked about here the only interesting thing is the digital thread cause it's a handy way to check out the charts without having to use X.

To explain, this is at least what happened to the franchises in our multistate area. The corporate office threatened mass lay offs because multiple franchises were donating a hefty chunk of their proceeds to help Palestine's people who have been displaced. Some one on Starbucks's corporate social media accounts made a comment stating that they did not approve of their (the union heads) statement of solidary to Palestine. The union even urged people to not blame all Jewish people for the actions of the Israel government. So multiple Starbucks unions are currently in huge arguments with the corporate office because of it.
but again, the only thing I can actually find a source on is the workers union "Solidarity with Palestine" statement and the ensuing stuff etc. Nothing about any layoffs bc proceeds were donated. And the union comment was made two days after the Hamas attack, which means in context it's a bit more controversial than just expressing solidarity with Palestine bc it could come across like they're endorsing the attack.

they have been donating money to israel, and doing its so proudly like somi in a tiktok is a form of zionism
no they have not, that is a thing that tik tok keeps spreading with no actual evidence whatsoever. Which is why Starbucks isn't on the BDS list. I even saw people claiming Starbucks is funding weapons for Israel, which is even more idiotic.

That cult used bts members to promote their stuff, if hybe didn't give them permission but dahn world still used hybe's idols names and pics to promote their stuff and in process ruined the reputation of hybe and hybe's artists, then it makes sense for hybe to sue dahnworld or take some action against them.
But hybe isn't gonna sue dahnworld cuz dog doesn't bites its master
you mean the cyber university that BTS attended used their image and stuff to promote that university, I mean, duh. I imagine they rarely had to actually do any work for that deal.

[theqoo] THE ACCOUNT 'GUILTYARCHIVE' THAT HYBE ASKED THE US COURT TO IDENTIFY
May 30, 2024
Guilty Archive:
- I’m curious if the request for identity verification was made for defamation based on factual claims!
- Is it okay if I capture and post this?
- Also, I wonder which post is it about? There have been so many that I’ve posted
- Was it about Dahnworld?" (T/N: the account made claims about links between Dahnworld and HYBE)
original post: here
1. If they are gonna sue, they should be suing Dahnworld instead noㅋㅋㅋㅋ??
2. Hul so they are not suing Dahnworld??...... Why sue a single account..? Why...?
3. Can they say something to Dahnworld already?
4. They aren't suing Dahnworld but GuiltyArchive....?
5. They are not even suing because of any of their artists but are suing them because of his tweets about Dahnworld and Gfriend's disbandment?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
6. Guilty, fighting~
7. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ they are pretending to close their eyes when they see hate tweets of their idols going viral but are suing when people are hating on the companyㅋㅋ the fans were pleading with them to stop just suing with their mouths but they were pretending not to be aware of anything
8. I honestly hate HYBE.... I hope that if they do get sued, they get compensated for it
9. Why aren't they suing Dahnworld???
10. Guilty is really just some archive account thoughThis is the account that posted the Dahnworld connections that went viral:
External Content x.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. We have provided more information on this in our privacy policy.but see this is why I basically stopped discussing stuff online, people are just...so so stupid. And it gets really tiring trying to come up with rational arguments, checking your own bias and then the reply is just the equivalent of a pigeon throwing over the chess board, shitting on it and strutting around like it's won.
re: those commenters, why would they sue Dahnworld, the cult that officially denied being involved with Hybe after anonymous accounts spread that speculation? why are those comments trying to claim this as a "gotcha" moment? it's all so stupid.

I've yet to see any real evidence that ties Starbucks to Palestine/Israel. Starbucks doesn't even operate in Israel, from what I remember. That union suing thing is hardly new for SB they are known for being union busting and not wanting their logo attached to anything remotely controversial. It's also not mentioned on the official BDS list I've seen.
I mean they have shitty labour practices and their treatment of unions is appalling so boycott them by all means, but people keep calling everyone a zionist for holding a cup and it's absurd.
-
Except the court stated that HYBE had insufficient evidence.
what they actually said was that there is clear evidence of MHJ acting in bad faith towards Hybe, but not towards Ador and because of her contract that means they can't fire her. So yeah, the texts etc are all real. But since she hasn't done anything to devalue Ador (yet) they don't have ground for breach of trust.
so funnily enough despite her claiming she had an unfavourable contract, it's actually so favourable the majority shareholder can't even get rid of her lol.
