Yeah they did a sudden 180 degree concept change 💀
Not sure how it'll turn out for them
It was too soon to have an opposite concept change imo. I feel like they should've done it more smoothly, like a comeback with a mixture between bright and more mature so they don't shock fans too much and cause a huge uproar. And their fandom probably isn't as established so there's a chance that there could've been some people who stopped being fans of them after the comeback, feeling like there isn't any hope that they'll come back with the After School or Holiday Party concept again.

Twice themselves were riding of the success of hit cute songs from 2nd gen groups. (Not meaning they’re copy cats or anything but they were following the popular trends that was still being consumed since the 2nd gen)
While girl crush existed before BP, it was after BP that it became more of a thing and cute is dying down.

I'm not so sure tho... people call it Fresh now... Don't know why they hate the word cute. Do you think boy groups are the ones doing lighter concepts now ? Eh...Okay TXT is going the bad boy route now... but Treasure's hit song is darari, and Enhypen's well known song is polaroid love. Both are pretty light and cute.

yeah for sure. either way, i hope they find a good middle with their concept because i was really enjoying what they were doing before the sudden direction change
