Basically everyone in Japan's future society has a psycho pass, which shows how calm or insane a person is and depending on how bad the score is, they get locked up or killed. The anti-hero and villan both question the system, because the system doesn't work on the villain no matter what he does etc. and the protagonist is at the beginning the innocent and firm believer of the system etc.)

- Death Parade (a short anime, where both protagonists watch 2 people battle each other in games to decide who ends up in the void and who in heaven and the Male protagonists decides based on their past and behaviour during the game, who is going where)

- Seraph of the End (tbh I didn't complete it because I was busy, but it also has to do with vampires and a virus, which kind of almost destroys humanity and fighting against the vampires etc.)

- Tokyo Ghoul season 1 (I didn't bother to watch season two, because that season is already in the manga trash and it gets better with "Tokyo Ghoul: re" again)

I'm just going with some super cool aesthetic shows I enjoyed-

A lot of the anime mentioned here are not beginner friendly but rather people’s favorites

I can recommend you something based on your favorite genre… do you like action thrillers or more mellow like romance or slice of life?

I highly recommend Great pretender

I start with Pokemon, Doraemon, Digimon, Conan when I was a kid.

I will always recommend jujutsu kaisen for any kpop fans looking to get into anime.

hmmm I am gonna put some thoughts on it

anime has many different genres, for example shounen (battle mostly some view as childish because of the target audience), shoujo (romance, mostly is highschool romance and is more target toward female audience), seinen (more serious mangas with more "adult themes" I do think seinen are better to know reading manga rather than anime), etc etc

well for me an "easy to like" ~

shounen:

Dragon Ball (but since it has many episodes maybe not everyone can keep up, I would put Naruto here but too many fillers so maybe be distractin and Bleach too plus its not finished anime wise)

Demon Slayer

Yu yu Hakusho (I personally love this one a lot)

H x H (not personally my type but people loves it)

One Piece (too long tho! almost same boat as DB but I think personally that DB is more likeable)

Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood

Death Note (tho its more thriller / psychological)

imo, long running anime like One Piece or Pokemon aren't the greatest first picks. I think the amount of episodes would be intimidating to newbies.

I get why you would instinctively pick them. They are very beloved and well known.

ahh you can pick nearly anything that looks interesting to you tbh but some favorites of mine;

Death Note is very engaging.

Hibiki Euphonium is full of heart.

Attack on Titan and One Punch Man are good.

Mob Psycho 100 is good.

Ouran High School Host Club is one of the first anime I watched, and I LOVED it.

are people in this thread really recommending anime with 200+ episodes???

To be fair, even though they're not my favorite, many who don't watch anime liked Death Note, Attack on Titan and Tokyo Ghoul.

But they're not for everyone.

I would guess that it's "safe" and dubbed so people can understand the language without having to read subs so I would say have to say that a person who had no idea about anime generally - those shows might be easier to start off with

I'm certain not suggesting they should finish them but it's a good stepping stone to other stuff ??? maybe???

hmm maybe.

Most anime nowadays are dubbed (at least the popular ones) so that's not really an issue in a general sense imo.

anime dubbing has definitely become more robust nowadays. As long it's not the 4kids style, that's something I'm okay with lol

please don't watch aot first i made that mistake and i found it really hard to get into other naimes after that
