The reason why women hide their periods

  • YJS: Oh, you're carrying a bag. Are you going to an after-school academy?

Jessi: No... (I'm carrying it because) It's 'that' day...

YJS: Ah... I feel bad for you

Mijoo: Don't bother her today. Not today.

    Jessi: It's 'that' day...

YJS: I love it that you're treating me like a brother

Mijoo: I didn't have my period for two months as a side-effect of COVID-19

YJS: Don't talk about that, Mijoo-ya. This is a TV show.

Mijoo: (I asked YJS) 'Oppa, did I have my period last month?'

YJS: I'm speechless. It's only morning and you guys are already talking about this in the opening segment.

-I agree. Why should we hide it? It's not a crime.

-What's the big deal about having your period? Why should we hide it?

-I don't see what's the problem. I talk about periods with my friends. When I'm concerned about not having my period, my male friends sometimes tell me it's because I'm stressed. Some even point out if the month before that I didn't have my period as well, they even worry about me and tell me to get it checked...

-What's wrong with that scene? I find it funny. They're comfortable with each other and they treat YJS just like their own brother. What's so wrong with talking about period?

-It's not like they asked him to help them change their pads. It's not a big deal.

    -What's the big deal about periods? They talk about period in front of him because they feel comfortable with him. You guys are weird for thinking it's wrong to talk about your period with a married man;;

-For me, I'd rather not talk about it because I don't want to be pitied just because I'm having my period.

-I love Mijoo, but this is a big no from me. I don't talk about periods with men who are just friends to me, because it's related to ovulation and pregnancy.

-Hul... Mijoo didn't get her period as a side-effect of COVID-19ㅠㅠ The same happened to meㅠㅠ I thought I was the only one who experienced it. Glad to know that someone else experiences it as well.

-Male celebrities talk about porn on TV Show, so why shouldn't female celebrities talk about periods?

  • I can see why maybe a guy might feel a bit uneasy when his female friends talk about it. But it gives him no right to judge the girls for it or shut them down. I would be very mad if a man, someone who doesn't know what girls go through, judges me for wanting to talk about it with other women.

If they were forcing him into the conversation, then I would understand his side. But no he literally said "I feel bad for you" as soon as it started.

  • :eyes:

  • I feel like people have to remember that this is part of the dynamic between YJS and Jessi... for him to be ruffled. I don't think it's anything shameful to talk about though and it's nice that someone saw their experience reflected by the conversation. :pepelove1:

  • its because the lord of periods, poopoo will go and give us more cramps!!!

ok but fr, sometimes its just not something you like talking about., or if it can make someone else uncomfortable

  • Men are fine talking about periods when they can use them to make fun of women and acuse them of being b*tchy because its "that time of the month" but when women talk about periods it's gross and we're trying to make a feminist statement

  • this is such a serious side effect and i had no idea

I`m always getting angry when the media downplays the side affects as "not serious" or "not often", like how many side affects wont get reported because ppl dont go to the doctors or the doctor doest recognize it as a side affect (or isnt reporting it). I mean there is some serious shit going on, like ppl having problems with their nerves system, 20 years olds having a heart attack even though they were healthy before the vaccine, ppl suddenly being paralyzed in their face or even lower. guitar players reported that they cant play as well as before because of motoric problems with their hands.

I`m aware that the vaccine saved a lot of lifes and thats great, but I dont like how the higher ups just downplay any side affects, just because they dont want to admit their faults.
