If there's one topic I don't see discussed that often on this forum, it would be the packaging and design of kpop albums. So for those of you who regularly purchase physical albums, what are some that are of high quality? Maybe they have nice material or just look aesthetically pleasing to your eyes. You may add pictures if you would like. It also doesn't have to be one you own yourself.
Here are some of mine:
Blackpink The Album
The cover may look pretty basic but I love the holographic glassy design of version 4. The material at least of the one I own feels very nice, and the album came completely undamaged. As for the contents, I feel the photoshoots they did for this album could've been better. It felt sort of cheap how the background were little detailed. Other than that, it's pretty solid.
I don't stan Itzy FYI. I did come across this unboxing and I immediately was wowed by the outside design. It gives a lot of kidcore/weirdcore vibes and I love it. The downside is that since the packaging is made of cardboard, it's more susceptible to some damage. In the video, she points out that there were a lot of dents in the albums. That may seem pretty trivial but that would mean possibly other people received more damaged albums if that makes sense.
The ReVe festival finale
The outside design is GORGEOUS. You can easily tell there was a lot of effort put into it. It would make a really cool painting ngl. You can also see that it was inspired by cartoons. The photobooks are also very adorable and I love the contrast in concepts between the scrapbook and finale versions. Literally so good.
