What do people mean when they say "My faves deserved this"

they are implying that pretty genetics deserve everything

I don’t think that there’s much too deep to it Daniel! I assume they just mean that for whatever reason to them, be it hard work or talent, or how much an artist means to them, they think that group/artist deserves it! 😄

For me, it’s usually because I see the hard graft gone in and think that someone deserves recognition, but I don’t think you can really discount a reason like ‘I like this song the best, therefore I think they deserve this.’ either.

thus I would say when someone says they deserve something it would generally be that the have done something worthy whether it be metric based (sold and charted) or effort based (ie. hard work)
