Why are most KPOP stans saying that bts are overrated?

I love BTS have been an Army since debut, I own a lot of early weird merch. But I do think sometimes people assume way too often that all of K-Pop is BTS. I remember the Stray Kids/IZ*One stages for one award show and people were chanting for BTS the whole time.... While BTS was begging the crowd to watch the performance and cheering for the two groups on stage. that is quite disrespectful in my opinion of the crowd. I do think BTS 100% deserve their accolades and awards but the public needs to learn to be respectful of other groups too.

That's more on the disrespectful fans, it happens a lot in the award shows with big fandoms and I agree that it gives the fandom a bad look

Oh I was meaning, that many people who are not in the Army fandom think they are overrated and disrespectful of their seniors and others, because of instances like that where the fans are cruel. I love that BTS always yells at their fans to watch the other artists though. Especially RM is super funny when they do it. :-D Like I said they deserve everything they are getting, the toxic part of the fandom needs to stop being disrespectful though because BTS is not all of K-Pop, they are only a piece in a long history.

because bts is the most popular, the most popular always has the most haters. also bts's music is more mainstream these days and focused for western audiences (no offense, its just my opinion). i also got bored pretty quickly after 'idol' as did many others as well. my taste really changed after bts and i got into groups like ONEUS and AB6IX.

honestly, the moment they from songs like i need you, Save me, Run etc to candy pop songs like idol, boy with luv, i also lose interest. Now they sound like just another boyband (one direction)
I was with them since debut. No more dream, n.o., Boy in Luv, just one day are among my faves. I absolutely loved their music back then (alongside BAP).

But it's not BTS's fault and I 100%think deserve there hype army's are paying off rn remember bts was also underrated disrespected
