If you look at boy groups, NCT, Seventeen, Treasure has more than 12 members and they’re killing it in physical sales. Plus, Going Seventeen is such an entertaining show because of the dynamics of a large group. However, the only large (>10) girl group we see is Izone, and they were also very successful. Should companies debut more large girl groups?
Should more companies create large (>10 members) girl groups?

Big groups scare off potential fans, it's too much work to learn all the members, but the fans they do attract are often hardcore ones. Combination that usually works better for boy groups since they're more fandom driven. But I wouldn't mind seeing larger girl groups.
Small groups are easier to promote in the west so the trend will most likely stay but it's starting to get kinda boring with only 4-7 member groups.
Plus, yes, bigger groups often have better variety content. Treasure has probably gotten more fans from their variety show than their music and Going Seventeen is the most successful idol show.

No, the only advantage is it will attract a lot of solo stans to buy the album, but it will be backfired if their own favorite member doesn't get what their fans want. There's a lot of demand we can see nowadays in kpop world, they really want every member from a group to get treated like a king or queen and not just an idol.
Seventeen and Treasure are entertaining for variety show maybe because of the chemistry that they have in each other, they could also a situation where huge group doesn't have that kind of dynamic

tbh I'd say no largely because large groups scare off casuals
NCT, Treasure, SVT are all totally different because they're boy groups & don't really need casual fans
meanwhile girl groups are very reliant on casual fans & the GP, when was the last time we saw a group with so many members have a hit?

But Izone didn’t need hits to be successful cause they have album sales. But also Izone is a special group so maybe it doesn’t apply to normal groups.

Isn't this usually a bigger issue for smaller groups. I can't come up with any bigger group with a solo stan problem (except produce groups but that was the whole concept of the survival show, not due to the number of members)

Izone coming from popular survival show, obviously they will be really popular. However, remember ioi, some of them getting inserted into a group with many members after their contract and people said it is one of the reason that kill the hype of the group.

I wonder to some extent if it's because companies with larger groups are better about dividing up opportunities, so even less popular members still have something. Like I think a lot of casual NCT fans probably have a favorite member or three, but if you really like, IDK, Yuta, then he has a radio show you can follow. If you really like Yangyang, then he had that duet with Ten and was part of the popular "Zoo" SM release.
I think a lot of the famous akgae problems (aside from produce groups) are because it feels like the members are fighting over scraps.

I personally don't like groups above 7 members. It's too much of a hassle to learn the members and during performances to pay attention to everyone
I like between 4 and 6 at most but everyone has their preference.
If you can learn 9 10 12 or more members names and acknowledge all of them during a performance then kudos to you

I personally find it more daunting to pick up a new group if they're huge like that
