Unfortunately have to agree re: 2 Baddies. SM seems to have developed a formula with NCT title tracks but it is law of diminishing returns at this point because the chanting chorus while palatable the first few times (kick it, hot sauce) is now stale and obnoxious on this song.
One title track is not enough to make me lose interest in the project but I fear the future if this was the song they thought was "the one" given how much the members hyped it up.
I also wonder if SM's zeal to push the boundaries of kpop with NCT's sound is pushing them further into unlistenable territory. Like they are so keen on topping the last song in terms of uniqueness that they forget to just make a straight up good pop song.
tbh i think nct songs have already hit the unlistenable category and becoming a joke to non nct fans..
as it just random sounds and lots of words repeated
very lazy production as all the songs sound the same..
Im looking forward to a full group comeback as this seems to be when they break the trend
also with the new smrookies joining soon i hope with wayv and the new unit the circle will be fully broken
or sm is just killing nct slowly because there albums are selling no matter what

I’m a little confused tho - “noise” is their brand so it’s not something new? And overall, despite the noisy tt, most of the albums actually aren’t very noisy for any of the groups (there’s usually one noisy song but most of the bsides actually aren’t noisy).
Do you only listen to tt and not the albums? Is that what you mean?
I do agree that Glitch Mode/Beatbox felt like a much weaker album than the Hot Sauce album but not anything I’d give up the group over, but obviously musical interests ebb and flow. What groups are you interested in now?
I feel like all the songs are slowly just turning into the members just shouting random lines over and over again..
I do listen to full tracks but i hated 2 badies so much i haven't got around too it yet xD
2 baddies: Two baddies, two baddies, one Porsche... is repeated 15 times in the whole song...
beatbox: Everywhere I go, bring the beatbox... repeated 14 times in the song
Universe: What you got... is repeated 24 times
I wouldn't mind if it was a song like chewing gum where it meant to be a ear worm for one random song...
but it becoming every single nct song is becoming super lazy made
repeat one line... add a random noise in the background.. like a whistle.. sticker
I feel nct sound is becoming "annoying" music you have to learn to love...
nothing has come out in a while what majority of the fandom has liked instantly..

here is how I would do it:
2 hosts: Johnny & Jaehyun
because why not... [plus they are fluent in English]
Then 4 panels of judges {4 separate tables} , Each judge panel will score on different things.
Each week will be focused on different things..
i.e if the week is focused on dance.. the dance panels scores will be double the value
Rap Judge Panel: Mark, Yangyang, Sungchan, Jeno & Taeyong
Vocal Judge Panel: Xiaojun, Doyoung, Taeil, Chenle & Renjun
Dance Judge Panel: Ten, Jisung, Winwin, Shotaro & Yuta
Stage Presence Panel: Jungwoo, Kun, Haechan, Jaemin & Hendery
{This panel will focus on face expressions and being able to show emotion. The ability to suit different concepts..
i.e acting cute or tough. Also to be fun for a audience to watch}
Week 1..
introductions, showing of personal skill and meeting the nct members..
week 2..
Stage presence round.. super cute songs to see if the boys can act cute

As I read "2 part series" I had to think of the Japanese survival show "Icon Z" who first found a boygroup and is curently finding a girlgroup, but that show is not like that what you wrote here, thats more liky putting 2 survival shows into 1 show since it is the same show but first they found a boygroup and now search for a girlgroup (The girlgroup will be btw co-signed to Hybe)
But I can't quit follow the idea you mentioned here
I will try to make it more simple
it will be similar to xfactor.. where people audition in front of a panel of people
the panellist will say if they would like to have the person on there team..
if the person gets a yes from all the companies they will select what team they would like to be in..
the company will then have to create a group line up with the team they have selected..
for example if they end up with 20 people but there group only has 7 spaces they will have to narrow it down
in the second part it would be very similar to every other survival show
the groups performing for votes
but the award is the debut order

"Trainees" is trainees of those labels already or new auditioners?
both like they had on iland & loud
some being trainees from the companies who can be taken from them and put in other companies
if you watch loud it a similar concept
they had kids auditions Infront of jyp and psy and whatever company wanted them first got the kid

I think it would be interesting if they have a 2 part series on making debut groups.

Making the groups, Start of with 100ish trainees
Each kid has to audition to a panel of representative of there selected company
I.e
Hybe Japan: K from &Team
KOZ: Zico
At the end of the auditions the kids will receive cards to show what labels want them.
They can only say yes to one.
At the end of this the labels will choose there final line ups for season 2.
[I'm assuming there will be tests etc and calling kids back who didn't get selected and other drama]
Season 2
The final line up groups will fight for who get to debut first
through rounds..
Loser of episode 1 will debut last...
and so on..
I.e
1st. 2 months after the show ends..
2nd. 6 months after
3rd. 12 months after
4th. 16 months after
5th 20 months after the show ends

as it something only really nct can do due to the amount of members...
