So....why did Weeekly change their concept?

well they try to stand out from other Girlgroup by going with a schoolgirl concept and cute music
but they got no support from Koreans or international fans
promoting a GG isn't free, so i can understand why their agency decided to switch their concept, they gave Weeekly 3 comeback with this concept and they didn't became successfull, the company wanted to stop paying the fees of a concept who was flopping
now they seem to want to follow the trend with a more mature image and a kind of "lore" type of concept
hopefully they'll be successfull like this, they are talented and cute, so whatever they are going for this time, i hope it'll be the start of their rise to the top GG
PS : can't wait to see the same people saying "i'm tired of girl crush concept " but doesn't stan any cute GG and only stan girl crush GG getting mad because of the weeekly change of concept

After School was ICONIC. I hate to see them leave that sound and image so soon, but gotta do what works I guess.
I think this image change was going to happen at some point, but it's a little weird for a rookie to do it.
I'm hoping it was for the best. I don't see them going girl crush, but definitely more mature and elegant sounding.

well it's always like this when a cute GG , some people act like they stan them to be this "edgy" kpop stan who stan a cute GG but never buy or stream their songs because most of their time their real favorite GG are a girl crush GG
and then when the cute GG change their concept because they are flopping because nobody is really interest in them enough to buy their album, they are the first one to get mad and express their anger to see so much Girl crush GG now
i think people didn't understand that the reason why Companies are debuting only Girl crush GG is because even if kpop fans are saying they want more cute GG, most of the time they only listen to their songs and never buy their album. Companies wouldn't debut so much GC GG if cute concept was also popular

Well the problem is that they're not feeling any lasting impact from their initial success, and maybe the dark concept will hopefully appeal them to more people.
Overall as a group I do think schoolgirl concept suits them best (while with Lightsum I think the opposite) so they may do a dual-switch. I just hope they don't lose all their existing fans.

This, I feel like people had them as a casual option, or like token stans. They like the idea of Weeekly, like a song/two, casually support them but don't make any money for them. This reminds me SO much of Rainbow, a generally liked group music-wise but never got anywhere huge because of this. They have it members, talented members, all rounders but they aren't the type of group people are invested about to "stan".

it'll definitely be much better than a dark concept, we really need a 4th gen group to do this type of concept

They are trying something else to become more successful. The concept does not matter to me, only the music.
Their schoolgirl concept was such a breath of fresh air, I
