Don't worry! They're going to have a live showcase (which is great!), are really well balanced, and have a lot of stan attractor members.
It isn't even as bad as Girls Day who actually had the worst debut song in kpop. It's just polarizing because the mixing is kinda bad and got worse in the leak, and this is the type of song that does better in performances like Wa Da Da.
People are just hate-fishing because this is the first JYP gg without a super public-accessible concept ie, people usually have neutral-to-positive opinions of it. But JYP doesn't have a ton of ggs so it's nothing shocking, I don't see any pattern.
It gives me Everglow vibes concept wise, but closer to ITZY + vocals.
That was what people said about other debuts, but it grew on them. I feel we place too much weight and emphasis on debuts. There’s a bit of something for everyone. Me, personally, I like it.
Hate is a strong emotion to have for music that’s free for us to listen to. Hate is a strong emotion to have for an upcoming MV that’s free entertainment. We have movies out there force us to pay over $13 USD just for a one-time viewing experience. This? It’s free of charge. Free 99. Sounds good to me! I’ll take it.

People hate everything on the internet. It's overwhelmingly negative most of the time.
Let's just support them with love when they debut.
They already have fans willing to be there for them. And people need to understand, just because a group is not #1 does not mean they aren't successful.
And debuts mean nothing. Twice had a decently successful debut, they became NGG. ITZY had a huge debut, but they haven't been able to match it quite yet. Aespa had an average debut, and look how they've blown up. Same with StayC. Black Pink is...Black Pink.
Besides, if people really hate it, it will probably still make them want to check out the comeback. Just to see how it compares.
