why are fans of sm groups and fans of hybe groups always fighting with eachother?

    there's so many threads discussing whether sm or hybe is doing better and where sm stans and hybe stans are dragging eachother. What's the reason? And why does this barely happen with jyp or yg.

    i think hybe stans lost. there so much acts in sm. i doubt they few fandoms can beat 30-50 fandoms?

    because hybe and sm have the most relevant acts right now. enhypen,bts, txt, aepsa, nct, exo.. all of the biggest groups of their respective generations and as we know, there where we have a big competition we also have nasty fights

    because hybe is the closest at surpassing sm as the company with most stans

    I think it's because of a history between ARMY and EXO-L, as the 2 biggest boy groups a couple of years back?


    In the same way ARMY were in a big fight with Blinks for a while.



    Not sure why this fighting still continues. Is there still fighting going on between fans of SM and HYBE groups. If so, then why?

    HYBE doesn't have girl groups, and EXO and EXO-L haven't really been active for a while now.

    As an Army, I see less of it these days. Now it's just Hybe stans fighting amongst each other.

    No one wants to fight with JYP stans, they are peaceful, healthy eating, plastic pants cult following stans.


    YG stans are in hibernation, they will show their real self when Bigbang and Blackpink comeback. Then you will see their egoistic and LOUD stans.


    SM stans and Hybe stans are just making kpop more interesting. Both labels currently have great acts so they can use them as dick measuring contest.

    Because Hybe stans, or rather Armys decided to make a mortal enemy out of SM and Lee Sooman for no reason aside from conspiracy theories and rumours. Ask any Army to show you a proof of the numerous claims about SM supposedly sabotaged BTS or harmed them in any way and they'll draw short.

    Eventually that hatred against the company as a whole bled into hatred and contempt toward the artists and groups under the company. They also want to take revenge from EXO-Ls but since EXO are in a perpetual hiatus and not very relevant anymore, NCT had to inherit that revenge lust by proxy.

    Do you even realize that it's not just armys? We have engenes vs mys, moas vs nctzens.. And don't say something like "because their fandoms consist of armys" when this will be the most cliche, wrong and stupid thing to claim

    Your first sentence is a complete nonsense. As an engene myself, I can tell you none of us had prejudice towards sm or their acts. If anything,engenes and mys were getting along pretty well, making jokes with each other, congratulating each other etc. As the groups grew bigger,rivalry was formed. It has nothing to do with sm or armys

    BTS are still active and thriving bringing more money than all sm acts combined. So sm stans are still salty. Exo are irrelevant now. They are no competition to BTS since 2017. So your excuse doesn't make sense.

    this is SUS. most engenes do not care about the rivalry. they only focus on enhypen like most army’s. tbh, only 10% of engenes are army’s but that’s because they are already multi stan.     if two groups for a moment are close in competition, and on top of that that competition is unexpected to an extent, it can be kind of confusing for both sides so it makes sense they'd attempt to prove their faves' superiority on an ideological basis


    exols claimed to value a high level of technical perfection, and polished end products, and consistency from the company, whereas armys emphasized bts' creative input and underdog story


    sm stans haven't changed that much, I think? but hybe stans somehow still believe the company is like it was 6 years ago and also apply things bts were praised for to new groups, which is weird, because txt and enhypen's """relatable""" concepts and music, unlike bts back then, are, dare i say more meticulously manufactured and calculating than that of any sm group's today, nor are the new groups underdogs by any means.


    the reason YG isn't really brought into these fights nowadays is that their only active and relevant act is Blackpink

    while JYP groups are so wildly different from each other, and there's a lack of hardcore and loud jyp company stans, so there's no reason to bring a group into these fights because of their company rather than anything else

    I'll answer your ridiculous question.


    1) Sunghoon, one of the members, used to be a figure skater. That brought lots of exposure to the group by figure skaters fans/sports fans who weren't interested in kpop before but began to stan the group due to having been fan of Sunghoon before


    2) Ni-ki, one of the members, has been popular among the dance community/dance lovers in Japan as he's been dropping covers and participating in competitions etc. When people found out that someone from their country will represent them in a group, they developed interest, checked them out and began to stan.


    3) Fever going viral on tiktok. The dance grew popular and up until today it's being used in dances in tiktok. Many people admired the choreography, it reached wider audience and then decided to check out the group



    That was about how non kpop stans discovered them. Now about how kpop fans who don't stan bts:


    1) Survival show fans. Everyone who is a fan of survival shows checked out the show and/or the group. People love that kind of groups and having in mind it's the most similar thing we've got to produce, people were curious.


    2) Enhypen is full of stan attractors. Anytime they performed at music shows/concerts people were asking about them and showing interest after watching their performances


    3) Fever and Polaroid love going viral brought many new fans who checked them out. The more viral songs they get, they wider audience they reach, the more fans they get



    So believe it or not, it is possible to attract non kpop stans and non bts stans even if you're not bts

    While i’m familiar with K drama, kpop is really something I avoided until I -land. It helps that they are ridiculously handsome in international standards. As u know people got bored during the pandemic look for things to watch. I watched it in youtube few months after it ended.Most survival shows are hit internationally. I-land is kinda similar to Big brother concept so yeah it made me curious. I find kpop before corny until I myself became a fan. When I said i’m not a fan of kpop before. I dont listen to it nor im remotely interested . I only know bts and blackpink but that’s it. I dont even listen to them until i get to like enhypen.


    So tbh, many enhypen fans are like that esp for those who are donating & buying albums. How do i know? Because we have a lot of gdp in twitter . Unless ur a fan of enhypen, u cant obviously know, right? It’s not superiority complex… i am not even insulting anyone. I never belittle anyone. Ur the one insulting hybe talents, spewing lies to make urself feel betteror ur faves look better.



    and to answer question, what does enhypen have to get this massive amount of fans ( maybe not bts level) but one of the most dedicated ans loyal fans in 4th geb? Simple- CHARISMA. They broke so many record for being the fastest & youngest kpop group to sell 1million in one album, fastest to reach 600 million streams in spotify. And ill bet that no legit army’s will buy albums that are not bts . Coz i am doing the same. So spare me ur narrative that it’s thanks to Army’s or BTS , it’s purely because it’s enhypen

    Fever created Heeseung stan attractors esp in China. It’s basically 40% Heeseung and a song made for him. His fans are mostly noonas or older than him that can buy a lot of albums and they are mostly the one that donates a lot in fanbases tbh. In our GDMs for Hee supporters, it’s like a common knowledge how much we spent for him. That many edits of Heeseung in Fever actually sealed the deal for me & made me buy albums and merchs. Never in my entire life did I ever buy one until Enhypen. In China bar, they ordered a lot of albums in Heeseung’s name too. Yes - this group composes a lot if stan attractors from different walks of life


    Heeseung- noonas, college students, working professionals from Japan, China, Philippines, and othe SEA countries. Mostly who can affors to buy merchs & albums. Hence , his merchs and magazine covers are always sold out first and higher than other members.


    Niki- young fans 13-16 yrs old who are monster streamers . His individual fancam views are one of the highest in 4th gen


    Jungwon, Sunoo & Sunghoon- they have typical korean beauty standards so I think they are more popular in Korea among all members. Sunghoon being former athlete did help too.


    Jay/Jake- having two native English speakers ( Heeseung is fluent too) help them a lot. They have their own charm that pulls different fans too. Jay’s swag & fashion sense ( since he is rich , looks natural for him so it’s not like his fashion style is force) made him stand out too. Jake’s cuteness & kind aura are loved by fans too.


    They have individuality and it’s easy to spot and like them esp if u watched i-land.

    Exo is irrelevant now . No army has thought about them in years.

    The issue is more and more armys are becoming Hybe stans. And sm stans are rampant.

    Of course I can't know where EVERY single fan comes from. But people share their experiences, it's not like posts such as "how did you stan enhypen" don't exist? People share. All I told you is where many fans came from, now of course I can't know about every one but I am telling you about the majority. It's a fact and if you refuse to acknowledge it then it's your problem
