Honestly though, you don't need to always change concepts. It's the group's decisions.
What is really sus though is that most of these comments come from non-fans, like why are you peeping into their business if you don't even like their music?
Just because a song isn't you taste doesn't mean it is a bad song.

Instead of looking for groups that have music you like, kpop fans will want a specific group they are not a fan of to do something they like.
If a group is not for you leave it
Like people wanted NCT to do the type of music EXO releases why should they do that when there is EXO. Just stan EXO.

The thing is they could possibly lose the fans they had that WERE fans of their original concept once they switch. The only time I've seen concept change really benefiting the group to a significant extent is with CLC.
I don't think a concept change is really needed unless you're seeing that your original concept isn't working anymore & it's apparent that something needs to be done.

And 13 pink/softer songs.
And people really said Blackpink only did girl crush and they needed to change it up.

Even if was a "cute" concept there was still a lot of variety in it.

There were a lot of troll Once, Red Velvet, BlackPink, and Girls Gen fans on the old website, and they would go back and forth making up excuses why the other group sucked. It was funny seeing fans claiming to not like cute concepts when you look at some of the songs their own fave groups produced.

Twice did gain some new fans from their change.
The way the feels became Twice's biggest song even internationally. Their album sales got a boost too after it. People will always like catchy good songs. Wil was going viral too even tho it's very cutesy. But it's quite common for cute ggs to go into more mature concepts with age. Twice was following that.

I really hate when that happens, cuz they really be wanting groups that are different from their standards to fit their standards so badly

Cuz like you have all of these groups that do what you like, so why does this group need to do it too?
Oh wait, cuz the groups who do music you like are D-B tier while groups who do music you don’t like are A-tier, and you want someone with their clout doing what you like for bragging rights
The worst thing is when the groups do a concept change & it doesn’t take off much, the same people who forced them will either ignore it or bash them for changing
