I think Soojin's scandal heavily impacted them, they also haven't had a comeback on some time so I don't see people talk about them anywhere.

Don’t know about hard core stanning but as a casual listener I’m definitely less enthusiastic about a new gidle song without soojin in it. Her singing voice was by far the most pleasant to listen to in the group and her absence is a detrimental loss to their overall sound

Hiatuses can generate more hype for a grand comeback if the promotions are done right but on this case it's because of a heavy scandal + withdrawal, so it's not comparable tbf

I think besides album sales which were increasing for everyone, they were on a downside trajectory even before this "scandal". But yeah losing a member doesn't help

I've always been interested in what GIDLE puts out because of Soyeon being heavily involved in the production/composing. But I have just not been a fan of her work for the past couple titles now. I'm still gonna check out their new song, but I really hope/she brings it and gives us something like the rookie years.

I like their music a lot, hope they have a cb soon
