Article: Choi Jonghoon spotted at church after serving sentence... his mother "all this fuss over something that's not a big deal"

    Source: Han via Naver

    1. [+3,980, -16] The mother raised him to think that these crimes are "not a big deal" which is why her son ended up in jail after committing such crimes~!!!

    2. [+1,034, -11] His mother is so uneducated... "not a big deal"? Then what crime does he need to commit for her to think is a big deal?

    3. [+920, -9] Mother, how could you see your son commit such a thing and think it's not a big deal? Do you not see the many people he has hurt in the process? Do you really think all those crimes will just disappear if he spends his time in church? Please just stay inside forever... I don't even want to see him in the news.

    4. [+544, -1] No wonder he ended up like this, his own mother is like this... tsk tsk

    5. [+105, -1] And as expected, his mother is rotten at the roots. No wonder her son ended up this way. I'm sure she thinks this whole thing is unfair since he had to serve his sentence... but does she think the wounds of his victims have healed just because he served his time? Will his victims ever get to live life by completely forgetting what happened? As a parent, she should know that the best thing she can do is to stay quiet. Such immature parents!!!

    6. [+92, -3] What a mess of a family...

    7. [+77, -0] So they still haven't learned. All they needed to say was "I'm sorry" but look at the mother selling her own lord to try and teach someone a lesson, tsk tsk. I always wondered where it went so wrong for him and it seems his parents were at the root of it all along. I wonder what his mother would think if her own daughter was the victim of such a crime?

    8. [+73, -1] "Not a big deal"? Would she say the same if her own daughter was the victim of a s*xual assault?

    1. [+618, -3] What do they find so regretful? I don't think they understand the price of their crime yet

    2. [+546, -4] His mother seems to be the bigger issue than himself. "Not a big deal"... listen, ajumma. Your son was involved in a gang r*pe assault. Could you still call it "not a big deal" if it was your own daughter who was a victim?

    3. [+328, -8] Religion is so easy... commit any crime and just ask your god for forgiveness ㅋㅋ it's like a laundry machine

    4. [+258, -2] His mother is a church goer and yet she's a bigger problem than he is. She still doesn't seem to understand what crime her son has committed. Think for a second that your own daughter was the victim of such a crime.. would it still not a big deal? Instead of praying to your god for blessings, think about fixing your son's character. Actually, fix your own character. The fact that you think sitting in church and praying for forgiveness can absolve you of all your crimes is so wrong and taints the hearts of people who believe in your religion with better intentions.

    5. [+127, -2] If she had just shut up and walked away, her son wouldn't be getting all this hate, but she's really scraping up every last scrap of hate at the bottom of the bowl for him ㅋㅋ

    6. [+65, -0] Wow.. amazing. There's the saying that parents will protect their child even if they're a murderer and now I understand why he ended up the way he did

    7. [+48, -0] There's always a root cause of why someone ends up a gang r*ping criminal. His own mother raised him as an absolute mess.

    8. [+39, -0] What is the point in attending church when you've raised such a son? I can now see why he ended up the way he did.

    9. [+33, -0] Seeing his mother now, I can see why he ended up this way

    10. [+21, -0] I don't think his mother understands what crime and repenting mean. Please don't use the church for your own gain, you will end up with even harsher punishments. I think your own pastor would be so ashamed of you right now. Repent more, stay humble, and keep your mouth quiet. You embarrass me as a fellow Christian.

    1. [+351] Sigh, how old are you and you're still looking for your mom to handle things for you...

    2. [+144] "Mom".. ㅋ🔥

    3. [+77] It's always the church in the end

    4. [+49] I still find the church fascinating. They promise you heaven no matter what crime you commit as long as you attend church. I find that so bizarre..

    5. [+73] He was an accomplice to all of those crimes... what does he find so regretful?

    6. [+26] His mother is no different from her son. They both don't know what reflection means.

    7. [+2] Look at him calling for his mom ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

    8. [+1] Wow ㅋㅋㅋ so he's been attending church lately

    9. [+2] Mommy~

    10. [+24] Maybe he can find a woman at his church to marry

  • Mommy dearest who raised her precious son to think he can do whatever he wants because "boys will be boys" and gang r*pe is not a big deal when her angelic baby is the one committing is the reason why that woman can go to church how many times she wants, but she'll never see Heaven and neither will he.

Lol Whoever thought the "she will never see heaven nor will he" is wrong and can end up in hell for that. One thing about God is he forgives us all no matter how horrible the sin if one truly has repented for their sins and changed then they will be saved and will see heaven.

I know nobody will ever forgive this guy he could have severd 100yrs and it wouldn't be enough to "satisfy" people he could be executed and it still wouldn't be enough. If people are going to try and use religion then they should understand to not be a hypocrite because they can end up in hell being unforgiving.

Hmm, I wonder what BTS thinks about this! Maybe message them on Weverse again to snitch some more. Either way, don't interact with my threads, I don't care what you have to say. If I end up in Hell I just know I'll meet you there.

  • I'm honestly not surprised the mom is like this. Even in more progressive countries, there's still an ugly amount of people that put responsibility on the woman for drinking too much/not watching her drinks.

From what I remember, a lot of the reporters during Burning Sun called it quasi-rape instead of gang rape

The South Korean government itself calls it quasi-rape actually. The conviction was deemed to be "special quasi-raping" by the courts. The definition is apparently "multiple people collaborating to have illicit sexual intercourse with a person who was unconscious or unable to resist". Quasi though... the hell. Rape is rape.
