Itzy could have a huge decline in 2022

With all the competition coming up plus JYP focusing on it's new girl group it looks like Itzy might be the first significant girl group to fall.

Itzy becomes more and more like f(x) everyday. They are still a popular big 3 group but they are currently the least popular popular group.

Too much emphasis was put into being different that it backfired. Now you got groups like IVE and Kepler putting them in a Big Show choke slam.

I swear if JYP would put as much effort into their music as he did with Ryujin stage at awards they might be the ones doing the choke slam.

Nope. The only girl groups who sold more than f(x) during 2nd gen was SNSD, 2NE1, and Kara.

Only 5 girl groups could sell 100k on one album. f(x) was in that club.

Those are 2nd gen Super Junior numbers. But now girl groups are reaching that?? Put Itzy in 2nd gen and watch them barely reach 80k.

I've always compared f(x) and Itzy cause they share a lot of similarities.

SNSD (Nation girl group) > f(x) (smaller girl crush group)

Twice (Nation girl group) > Itzy (smaller girl crush group)

Although Itzy always claims to be different f(x) never had to mention it cause they just were.

This is a pretty common comparison too. I'm not the only one.

Now I see Itzy taking a back seat to JYPNGG just like f(x) did with Red Velvet.

It's also not a fair comparison to Sistar because f(x) benefited from Big3 privilege (as a huge MeU I'm still aware of this and don't deny it). That's why they sold way more physical albums than most girl groups at the time.
