I don't know why people take the Sana thing out of context and extrapolate their feelings on Jae to Sana. Jae literally said that was a joke, there is no issue known to us between her and other JYPE idols present or former.
Not to mention you can go back a few weeks when this was said and read idiots here and on Twitter dragging Once for 'not taking a joke' about the exact situation after Jae had to say sorry, so don't come using this shit now like half the people weren't singing a different song prior.
This is exactly the reason Once don't like men talkin on stream or saying weird shit. Keep the girls out of your mouths, period.
There's a reason why I didnt even talk about this at all you already see in this thread how people use that 1 Sana sentence and make it into a 'he fked up and Sana didnt talk to him no Sana no life Jae must have hurt her' nonsense
And now we have entire witchhunt threads wanting to dig up old shit that is totally unrelated ok
I sincerely hope that none of this comes across as rude in any way, but I figured at the very least, I should explain why I made the post that I did since you two seem to be alluding to it negatively, among other posts as well, but still (which is fine, you don't have to like everything that everyone posts). First of all, a small disclaimer that I am not a once (yet) and do not know a ton of things that happen in the once fandom, except for the really widely known things like the really popular memes, most of their title tracks, some names and a couple controversies. That's about it.
First of all, let's sort out what is serious and what is not so we are all on the same page in that regard. The phrase "no Sana, no life", is typically used by onces in a joking manner from what I understand, not to be taken too seriously. Some people know who Sana is and are still sad in life while others don't know who she is and are happy. I think the joke has to do with how happy and bright she is, so she brightens everyone's life and makes it better, but I'm not positive, because, once again, I am not yet a once.
In short, "No Sana, no life" is a joke and meant to be taken as one, at least the majority of the time.
Now, me and @TheBotter are actually in somewhat agreement on their first paragraph. I knew the context and learned about it when it came out. He was making a joke about how he never saw Sana around, probably because the building is huge and TWICE are constantly busy. Fans might have thought he was serious due to the above reasoning, and some probably assumed the opposite and that the building was small enough that they must have seen each other at least a couple times, and if they hadn't it meant they hated each other. That's what I understand from the situation though. That all doesn't matter for my point though because he confirmed it was a joke.
The "never seeing Sana" joke he made was maybe not quite as clear of a joke initially, but it is now well known that it was meant as one.
What we (me and the others who participated in what is being described in your posts) were doing was joking. Both the "never seeing Sana" and "no Sana, no life" jokes are just that: jokes. What we were doing was joking about both at once in relation to the scandal. I am sure none of us meant to seriously insult or demean him because that wouldn't be right. I joined in because I found those posts, interpreted them as jokes and thought it would be funny to join in on the joke. The other people who put laughing emojis on my post understand it was all meant to be a joke.
About the "witchhunt" icyruios , I think I may be able to explain that. Typically, when an idol makes what is considered to be a mistake, people want to know what other mistakes they made so they can see if it is a repeated behavior or not and if they should either not pursue an interest in stanning him or unstan him. It could also be a lot of curiosity because many people on here are saying this is a repeated behavior and people who do not know Jae well would like to look into the situation to form their own opinion on his past actions and words. I, for example, belong to the latter group. I am curious what things he did in the past and how serious they are so I can form my own individual opinion on him instead of relying on solely what other people are saying. I'm sure some people may be looking to actually witchhunt him, but I suspect those vile people arein the small minority, not the large majority.
This happened a lot with Chan in August. When the Jim Crow pose clip resurfaced, many fans started to relook back at his other previous scandals and how he handled them to decide if they wanted to keep stanning or not. Yes, some people dug up old posts sheerly to shame him and for no other reason, but others did it out of curiosity and to see if he messed up in the past, in what ways and how he handled it all. I hope that explains things from my perspective. If any of this post came across in the wrong way, I sincerely apologize. Have a great day/night!
