Back before MONSTA X debubuted people were randomly only talking about SISTAR all the time, since they were popular and really a lot companies back than had less idols or less groups so people often tend to pick 1 artist and use them for a company. I mean something similiar had happend as MAMAMOO debuted and everyone knew RBW just as "MAMAMOO's company" forgeting that there was a group called Vromance

I actually didn't knew Mamamoo had a brother group called Vromance either.. :shyy: a lot of people talk about them like they come from a one-group-only company.

See this is why Marketing is a huge factor especially in an oversaturated market like kpop. Not only SSE gave them a forgettable name, if they had already announced a dual concept like Red Velvet and Blackpink so people could know what to expect that would prevent the decrease of interest. They made BF debut in a cute concept just to switch again to dark concepts later on. Imo their dark concepts are far superior. But that even made the stans that they collected with their debut confused... Not smart AT ALL. I am sure if cravity had Boyfriend's dark fairytale concept they would kick ass in the industry because 1. Its good 2.its unique. It all breaks down to planning, bad planning in their case.
