NCT 127 Sticker behind the scenes song recording

  • NCT always posts studio recording videos for new songs (or has at least for the last few years) but I thought those interested in music might be interested in this video, whether you like the song or not.

The videos usually just takes us through the recording but I really like this one because it takes us from members listening to the demo, which several are concerned will be too hard to sing, and then into the recording process. It’s interesting to watch members alternately vibing or analyzing, then as always, it’s interesting to watch the recording process with raw vocals and members’ notes and tweaks to performances.

I always love these vids and I recommend them for an interesting watch.

  • Jhonny said, "we did worry too much". I can imagine all the comments that were cut out and all of the things they refuse to say because they knew they were on camera. That song was a boycott to them after kick it, which it's probably the unit most popular song to date. I hope Favorite it's a good song though.

And yet Sticker has been their most successful song yet. :/

Oh I completely disagree. It’s not that they dislike the song..they all keep talking in the video about how hard it is to sing and it seems the vocalists in particular were hung up on that aspect and how worried they were about trying to sing it - like Doyoung talking about how only one of them could sing the parts. Several of them do say that it takes a listen or two to appreciate it, which I get, since there is a lot happening there.

I remember when people complained about Kick it too. But Sticker is their best performing song to date tho…

  • If they have achieved good results with Sticker, can you imagine the numbers if the song was really good? I'm sure you are using the Music Show wins to support that affirmation but this is the result of their growth, independently of the song they will do well because fans are going to support their faves no matter what. STICKER "THE SONG" it's the biggest mistake of their career till now and I hope Favorite can repair the damage this song did. Just to point: I'm not a hater. I have listened to the whole album and did like everything but Sticker.

I assume you mean well but you should be careful with sweeping assertions about a subjective thing like music. It not being to your taste doesn't mean the song is not "good". It's different and divisive but some people really like it.

Personally I really liked it - I liked it a lot better than lemonade which I saw people saying would have been a better choice. To each his own...

  • In addition your remark about "the damage the song did to their career" - a successful run with multiple music show wins and decent charting would suggest this was the right choice for a title track.

In kpop - It's better to cause conversation than to have generic milquetoast singles that everyone forgets.
