Like Everglow was the #2 contender for ROTY in 2019 and everyone was saying them vs Itzy but now no one mentions them in 4th gen threads (not even comparsions just general). But it makes no sense cause they had one of the most beloved songs last year (and they got a little bit of attention with the line distribution stuff)
Why does everyone forget Everglow when mentioning 4th gen ggs?

They don't have a big enough fanbase. If they had a big fanbase, you'd see their fans mentioning them.
And them having a super loved song last year doesn't mean much. Those were from mainly casual listeners, at the end of the day, they'd choose their favorite group over Everglow.
No one really talks about LOONA here either, despite Star/Voice being a super loved song and their earlier discography being praised to the heavens.
Maybe you should spam some Everglow threads so people will know them?

Kpop fans are mostly sucess stans
Everglow had fake hype brought by ads. In reality they only got attention because they had more views than Red Velvet
Once it was clear how they got their numbers people stopped bothering
But if they start selling well people will start to talk about them again don't worry

They have low Korean digitals and relatively low album sales, compared to other 4th gen GGs. So their fan base is obviously small unfortunately.

Funny thing so many people mention adds here like they are only group using adds? Almost every 4th gen gg is using more and less adds. There is 3 groups that are using nearly as much or even more adds than Everglow. Everglow have almost 3 million likes on DUN DUN while nobody from 4th gen have not reach that point outside of Itzy.
